Two different games, NOLF and Rainbow Six (RS is from gog)

On intel menu is ok, but in 3d i've got weird graphical glitches
On nvidia 3d is ok, but menus fliqers horribly (on video its hard to see)

Any solution? Explanation?

Have you tried running these games with IntelHD graphic card?

Yes, i did.

Did you find any similar reports in GOG subforums of each game (for those games there are GOG versions)? I'd expect many others having run the same games on some form of Intel HD graphics, and/or NVidia mobile graphics. I might try at home if I can reproduce the problem on NVidia 670M (I don't have Intel graphics).

If I ran into similar problems, I'd probably try:

1. Try the latest graphics drivers (for both Intel HD and 660m).

2. If you are already using the newest drivers, maybe try some older drivers instead. I know, it sucks to have to downgrade drivers...

More heavy-handed solutions that might work:

3. Install VMWare Player, and inside it install Windows XP (if you have it; remember to let VMWare to install VMWare Tools as well, when it asks for a permission), and see if the games run fine there. I was actually going to try this later this week for a couple of other games, just to see whether 3D accelerated gaming for old games is possible in VMWare+XP. Mainly with games that have known issues, like Gorky 17.

4. Install Linux on the side, and try to play the game in WINE.

Well, this button is grey for me :) Win 7
In my opinion it is question of Directx. I had similar problems at even XP.
you had? and how managed to solve this?

By installing the old directx. Is there any installing files of this kind in the folder of game?
Have you tried compatibility mode as admin and win xp/SP2? Also for the greyed out option look at this site.

And when you are in game, there should be an option in display , have you tried messing with the render options? You also might want to reinstall drivers and apply the newest drivers or definitely the newest DX11 driver. Maje sure that in Nvidia panel, you select Nvidia High performance card as your main gpu.

Otherwise take a look at this thread and download Nvidia inspector and try to set custom settings for the game.
