I posted something in a thread, and i can see it has new posts on the General Discussion page, yet when i refresh the thread i don't see any new posts, not a new thread page. After some time, when there are many new posts i finally see a whole new page of comments.

I've changed the number of posts per page and i was able to see the new comments faster, though i'd have to post some more to see if the problem still occurs.

Anyone else got that?

Pretty sure it has to deal with site activity. Probably because there's been so much happening the forums got screwy.

Yes, I've been tracking its behaviour for a while. It seems that on longer threads, say about 6 or 7 pages and longer, the threads are waiting for enough posts to fill up a thread page before displaying it.

This is bug that needs to be fixed.

Was a problem for me a few ten minutes ago, but apparently not anymore. Maybe the servers got served, maybe not. My guess is the combination of flood gates opening and bad code being rigorously patched. That last one I don't know for certain, but I do hope.

Thread length is not really a factor, I first noticed it with a one page thread (default forum display settings), but it does seem to get worse the longer the thread is.

Thanks guys, i was a bit worried something screwed on my side only. Nothing worse than a solitary problem.

Problem with forums not displaying new posts.
They should fix this as fast as possible, it's so annoying. :/

I just had a biiiig post apparently swallowed in another thread.

If it's disappeared then that's piss poor coding and testing. No information on a forum should disappear just because the server is having hiccups.

Certain threads keep telling me I have a reply, but aren't showing anything that has been posted within the last 5 hours or so.

The display of reputation is also seriously messed up.

If you mean that rep doesn't show correctly on older posts, then yes, we're talking about the same problem.

I had that in the apology sticky, literally 2-3 hours passed before a bunch of posts showed up at once (3 of mine included). Whats the problem with rep displaying? I've not noticed anything
