It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hi everybody!
I'm sure that question was already asked in the forum, but my searching skills are bad!
I have a problem with gog downloader. When I launch it, a sceen appears, and it's written: « The application is offline or it can't contact gog.com servers»
First, I checked if my connection was good, and it was. Second, I disabled the firewall... non results. I think my problem have a link with proxys, but I don't even know what is a proxy and how to solve this...
Can anybody help me?

Have you downloaded games with the gog downloader before? If this is your first time using it did you get adobe air from adobe site?
Number 6 talks about the downloader.

If you can't get the downloader to work you could always use your browser or otherdownload managers work as long as you don't leave it for too long between download periods on the same download.
you could try to reinstall adobe AIR and the gog downloader.
this is a common way to fix things on microsoft's OS ;)
but first, you have to make sure that your router and/or firewall is not blocking the gog.com downloader application.

In fact, I knew my firewall don't block the downloader. But how do we do to know if the router blocks it?

The router usually only blocks incoming connections, something that doesn't affect the GOG.com downloader.

A proxy is just a gateway through which all your internet traffic is routed. Do you have any specifics about your internet connection? Are you "plugged right in", or do you go via a private router?

At home, i am connected to a router, which is linked to 2 other computers. I have Windows Vista...
Anybody have an idea?

I also tried to download the file without the downloader, but it says it's corrupted
I say don't bother with the GOG Downloader, use Flashget, DownThemAll, or hell, even the default browser downloader to download games. Until the GOG Downloader is fixed or isn't using AIR (whichever comes first), it's not really... good.
Thanks for your help, michaelleung! But all of your programs you've listed wont work. All of them say that I can't acces to their servers... have you an Idea what's going on? I am on Vista

What error exactly are you getting? Give me a numeric error and maybe I can sort you out.
On Gog Downloader, they don't tell any numeric error. It's just a message that says: The application is offline o it can't contact gog.com servers. But when I try to connect to MSN Messenger, for example, there's a numeric error. It's 80072efd.
My firewall is blocking nothing...

No, the errors you get from using FlashGot, DTA, built-in browser downloader, etc. You have tried those, haven't you?
when I use FlashGot, it says: Connect to (Site name)
AND
Failed to connect to server
Here is when I try to download with InstantGet, another one downloader:
Essaye de se connecter au serveur: bitcast-a.bitgravity.com:80
Socket error: 10061 (WSAECONNREFUSED - Connection refused).
Patientez 5 secondes pour réessayer
