I just bought new notebook and unfortunately I have serious problem with any FMV adventure games. I tried to play Tex Murphy series, Phantasamgoria games or Return to Zork. The same problem. I can hear sound but no video. Only black screen (In Phantasmagoria green:) No idea what to do:(
On older notebook there was no problem.

My performance:
intel core i3 CPU M370 @2.4 GHz
3,00GB Ram
Intel(R) HD Graphic
NVIDIA GeForce 310M
Windows 7 64 bit

please help

sory for my english:(
I'm taking a stab in the dark here but try bringing up the right click context menu for the launch short cut, go into properties and select compatibility for Windows XP.

unortunately nothing changed:( I can hear game but noyhing else
As far as I now all three games use Dosbox, so you will need to take a closer look in the Dosbox configuration file of each game. You can try different video scaler, cpu settings or sound buffer. Maybe you should take a look into the subforums, there are normally some threads about tweaks how to optimize or fix problems like this.

Also Return to Zork runs with ScummVm, so you can try to use this to start the game. Btw, does anyone knows why gog uses Dosbox and not ScummVM for it?

Edit: At the moment I don't have installed any game using Dosbox, but as far as I remember there is a shortcut which let's you change the video settings of your Dosbox configuration. So, before going into the deep of your Dosbox configuration you can try around if will help.

Just another two lax ideas. While you're running Win7, there are sometimes problems with the right management (UAC) and programs using the standard installation folder (programs). I had so far no problems with Dosbox and Win7, but maybe you want to install the games outside this place, as example c:\games\.

Second idea belongs to Dosbox itself. Gog released and tested the games not with the latest version, so you could overwrite the dosbox version in your gog folder with the latest one. You can get it from here. Unfortunately I can't find a zipped version, so you need to use the installer.

To be honest I don't believe any of the ideas will help, so I hope someone with deeper dosbox experience gets attention of this thread very soon.

Not sure if this will help with DoxBox based games, but it's always a good idea to have the Combined Community Codec Pack installed.

so no hope?:(
I don't know if I'm reading your specs right but it looks like you have two graphcs cards installed - Intel and nVidia? Not too familiar with laptops..
yes, you right, i have 2 graphic cards, i dont know why

maybe if I delete driver of intel card?
I can see you are on a bit of an older netbook.

Try going into the Nvidia control panel, and change the preferred graphics card to the Nvidia card. That will force your netbook to use the Nvidia card instead of the integrated graphics.

What's the name of that codec that damn near every old game used? Vimeo, wasn't it?

If I remember rightly they started asking money just to be able to playback things that used it. Is that one included in that pack?
