bagelobo: Kind of scary that you actually remember that.
Why scary? IIRC most of those new games aren't as much memorable as those older were, because they usually are very similar.

Remembering a map is one thing, but remembering the episode # and map # of a map you remember is another. But whatever, I could probably do the same thing with Quake maps.

SimonG: That reminds me of this:

article.

The picture sums it up pretty well.
Because of you I read that website. Want to say thanks.

Delixe: And the Fallout games. I know they aren't proper shooters but I think they still count.

StingingVelvet: Yes to both, plus I would say at least Crysis... Crysis 2 if feeling generous. And maybe some FEAR (original)?

I would guess that is everything though.

And what about those that can recite all voice acting lines? :D

The fact you can sneak by everything is actually a plus on the freedom scale, not a negative.

I'd tend to agree with you there if that wasn't the last level on the hardest difficult of what is presumably sold mainly as an action FPS. Its all a matter of opinion of course. Even if you're avoiding the bulk of the enemies on this last level you never have to fire a single shot, this just feels more like "dumbing down" so everyone can beat it (again, on the hardest difficulty) than adding stealth elements to me. But I've not played the game so I'm not pretending to be an expert or anything.

Well for one thing a lot of luck is involved there, I bet it took him several tries to pull that off. More importantly though I think both Crysis games were made with the idea of playing it how you want. You can go guns blazing or constantly stealth, or more likely somewhere in between. In Crysis you could sneak by everyone in a level without fighting, so seeing that happen in Crysis 2 isn't really shocking or an example of dumbing it down.

Ahh I avoided the later Far Cry/Crysis games because of Securom in the later installments, and because I have a bad habit of actually listening to Yahtzee's reviews lol. If it's a series with a lot of freedom that's a good thing of course, again I'll take your word for it as someone who has actually played them.

Cool. Crysis 2 did simplify it a bit with smaller areas, but the stealth thing is similar to the original for sure.

Delixe: You can have my 4850 if you want it. Just pay for the postage.
Sorry to barge in, but if the offer still stands, i'd be interested, though i'd probably have to know the costs, shipping to Poland has weird costs. That is, if You're willing.

Or a courier service, like UPC of DHL. My friends say it shouldn't be more than 10euro [well, Poland->Ireland is kinda like that, we've failed to decipher their cost tables really]. I have bad experiences with the local Post Office, a package from Red_Avatar got stolen by those a$$holes, i wouldn't want to lose a GFX.
Anyhow, if it's not a hassle, checking it out would be great!;)

An Post (Irish PO) offers a tracking service which I have always used, it's pretty reliable and you get almost real time tracking of a parcel.
