Just make sure your blood printer has an extra sealant cartridge or all of your prints will turn brown when they dry.

Agreed.
I recommend Royal blood though, as it has a nice blue tint to it.

Did he include the price of the cartridge in his calculations or just the ink alone?
Also, I figure it's a supply and demand sort of thing. The more people use, the cheaper it gets.

Sure as fuck is with printer ink anyway. Trying to kill the refil market is probably grounds for legal action too.
The guy didn't list his methodology so I'm guessing its ink+cart so it IS skewed but just how expensive can the carts be?

Ink prices are off the deep end of insanity. It would be cheaper for me to buy a new printer than to replace the ink in this one. This one has a built in scanner too.

Definitely. When printer ink, PRINTER INK costs more than oil you know something is fucked up in the world. You're spot on about printers being cheaper than ink sometimes, I've seen those little cheap plastic things that are pretty much $250 cheaper than ink.
I use a fancy laser printer (B&W, speed has its downsides) and the toner there is ridiculous. And the fact that printer companies are making it harder to refill cartridges (recording barcodes and serial numbers so you can't use them more than once), it's a goddamned conspiracy.
