I really hope GoG takes a page from Steam and gets better with the pricing. At times on steam a BRAND new game can be as low as $3!

These are ancient games that once compatible with windows 7, will have SOME draw, but really, the pricing could be way better for digital games.

I am definitely a fan overall, and cannot wait if they ever add Syndicate wars and Theme Hospital(with multiplayer support!)

Do you not think that the extras GOG provides are worth the little extra bucks? I do
BRAND new games on Steam aren't generally as low as $3 quickly .... Some indie games after a few months sometimes, but they don't generally start high priced either.

If there's anything to argue about pricing so far I'd say that pricing GOG games 1:1 with games on other portals (Steam, Amazon, GG etc) is not necessarilyy pricing it competitive, not because of the price but because of GOG's sales. They just don't really go as extreme as the other portals, which means that equally priced games don't become as cheap as they would on the other portals. Or at least not nearly as often.

First off, you will never find a brand new, non-indie game for that price on Steam, and indie games rarely. They have good sales, but not THAT good.

Second, GoG offers a lot for your money, and gives an awesome service you should be happy to support. Given that the majority of these games cannot be gotten digitally on Steam or ANY online service, and that most of them are modified to work correctly on your system, I'd say that on those times where Steam is the better deal, it's still worth picking it up on GoG.com just to throw some money their way.

What is the highest sale GOG has had? 60%? With them normally 50% off?
Compare that to the 75% off that other DDs often do. Hopefully they at least compete sales wise with the newer games. Bundles (Dungeons and Dragons Bundle, Oddbox, ect) would be nice too. Probably doable now with the higher price points.
While the price for HOMMV is very good here compared to Steam, you have to admit that the OP is right in a way

Assassin's creed costs 10 Dollars on the US Steam store, that's 2 times cheaper than here on GOG, yeah I know the GOG version has extras and stuff but as I said: OP has a point

Higher prices are really a double edged sword, on the one hand they open up a lot more possibilities of games that can be released here, on the other hand, publishers will a lot of times abuse it and overprice games, and we know how Ubisoft and Activision are notorious for this...
Steam has a lot of bargaining power (helluva lot more than anyone else by far - lower prices initially are hamstrung arguable by publishers), which is why they can make the offers they make & and especially the prices during their sales (the cheap prices during sales, and also the indie bundle pricing really spoil people and raises expectations too much imho)

It's $19.99 on steam, not $9.99.

Oh.."Checks on other websites"

My bad, sorry

I saw it for 10 Euros on the EU Steam store and automatically assumed that it was 10 Dollars in the US one

Oh, that's fair enough then. I guess regional pricing really is a pain in the ass.

Haha, really? I didn't get an age thing when I went there. Well, here's a peek at the R18+ goodness that you're missing.

The Heroes Pack is $20/€25. However, that one has Heroes V+expansions *and* Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, rather than just Heroes V+expansions
