Could GOG possibly have prices in other currencies? And not just straight conversions.
Given the fact that there are only two price points, this would be a lot easier than with other digital distribution services.
In England, I'd imagine $5.99 becoming £3.59 and $9.99 becoming £5.59.

I highly doubt it, because the currency always evolves. It would be quite unfair to have the games in several currencies... you always can type "9.99$ in £" in google ;) They sometimes may be a little bit outdated, in this case there are plenty of currencies websites.

Best to keep it at one price for all, if you had different curreny prices you would contantly have to have them changing. ( otherwize you would find people wanting to pay in what ever was the best currency conversion..pay with euros one month, sterling the next)
look at the doller for instance... a few months ago it was close to £1 to $2 now its only £1 to $1.60.
Thats a big change...you cant anticipate the exchange rate and I am sure there are other reasons, like losing money when converting small amounts of different currancies

Is it really so hard to look at current exchange rate and grab your calculator or with such low prices just brain? :D

Or how about you just go 'oh well it's less than 6 bucks U.S., and if that's cheap for them, it must be really cheap for me.' buy the game and then look at your credit card bill to see how much you were charged.

Hahaha it's a lot different for those of us who gamble on the exchange rates, especially when they vary so much in so little time. I may have bought the game at 453,24 [local currency], but when the credit card invoice drops, it turns out dollars have gone way up and now I have to pay like 1458731x23,3 [local currency].
So, as for the thread's question, its a long shot, since you'll have to set a certain financial&exchange information website as your conversion "tool" and prices can vary a lot between exchange rate news sites.
it's easier to grab the calculator and do the math, oh, and pray the exchange remains the same ;-)

Thats why I prefer the paypal method, At least you know the total price you paid ..as opposed to credit card when you dont know till the day the statment comes...or a few days later when u cheak online

I sent feedback to the bods at GoG Control about this, it's not that hard a solution.
All they need to do is write some code that locks a persons home country's currency to that of the GoG prices. Updated on a daily basis and everyone now pays the American equivalent in their own currency. All that's needed then is an option in the users account where they can choose the country they live in and instant local pricing.
Example.
This time last year the sterling was pretty much getting $2 for every £1 which meant it would cost a fiver (£5) to buy a ten dollar game.
Today, that is now £6.29 (going by the link in KingofGnG's post) and even though it seems more expensive, buying it in dollars would still cost you the same amount in your own currency once the bank has converted it back.
I've had several whiskey's at this point so my fuzzy logic sees the above solution as the best thing EVER!!!!
Now, feel free to pick my awesome solution apart by pointing out some probably obvious flaws to such a wonderous idea.

When making an account on GOG, you have to input a location anyway, so on the checkout page they could display an approximate price, converted to your local currency.

The problem is - i set my currency tp South Africa, and say it says the game would then be R60.
I pay by credit card and when the payment goes through the exchange rate has changed and I'm now paying R65.
I know its probably an exchange rate thing but other people will probably get a little hot under the collar for being charged R65 when it said R60.
That, and GOG can't 'give' it to me at R60 because then they loose the R5 ...
Keep it in one currency, less problems, less headaches.

Hop on over to (http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi) or somewhere, get an estimate, add a little for the bank/conversion costs and it's done.
