"The ever watchful internet blog, superannuation, spotted a few trademark applications recently that revealed that the Prey IP - originally owned by Apogee/3D Realms - had been sold to Zenimax - the business arm of Bethesda.
The site links to 5 - count it, 5 - separate trademark applications and transfers, and lists a number of items including; magazines, books, graphics novels, clothing and apparel, an ongoing sci fi TV program, and of course, video games.
The final application shows the trademark moving from Apogee - via the Radar Group to Bethesda's business arm, Zenimax.
The good news is that the franchise has been picked out of limbo. It does open up a ton of questions though, like who will develop it? And more intriguingly, how much did they pay?"
