As some of you may know, the first Prey is one of my favorite FPS' of the past decade. So I'm pretty elated to find out that Bethesda (Still ID software basically) is going to make Prey 2!

Stoked!

EDIT:
LOL SORRY, wrong link. :P Go here: http://kotaku.com/#!5781226/the-next-game-from-bethesda-softworks-is-prey-2

Argh bait and switch!
Umm....they currently won't let anyone purchase the first one anymore so I'm not quite sure how they're going to go about getting the second one around.

I bought the game on Steam the day it was on sale for $2.50. About 15 minutes later than ran out of keys, and the game hasn't been for sale on Steam since then.
I even ordered it right after the sale came up that day.

Alright, class, repeat after me:

This is why DRM sucks.
DRM sucks worse if you plan your DRM so you PERMANENTLY LIMIT YOUR RETURN FROM A GAME.

It's another game like Obscure and Hostile Waters that developers are fighting for rights to so it has been pulled indefiitely until the smoke clears.

This is on the endangered list too. GG and Greenman still have it but it has been pulled from several other places shortly after getting sold for a heavy discount.

I think this is going due to lack of sales so when it goes, it might go for good.

As far as recommendations for it, I'm on the third or so campaign and having a lot of fun with it.

When you finish it, can you tell me if the ending is a cliffhanger?

I've always had an eye on it, but since it was supposed to be the first game on a trilogy, but didn't sell, I want to know if the ending is a cliffhanger or if it's at least half closed, like Mass Effect.

Cliffhanger, you know how it's meant to be a time-travel story? The modern day earth soldiers don't appear until the second game and I assume the end of the first hints to it.

I don't think this developer made enough to continue on with his story though but despite that fact (and story) there's a lot of game-age here and it's enjoyable.
This game can't be sold without a cdkey, right? And since all the cdkeys are basically gone, does make this game effectively extinct?

Prey? I'm sure they could make more CD-Keys. The whole benefit to digi is that the game is never meant to sell out entirely - only get yanked out of existence by greedy and stoned game developers in midst of a big squabble.

Or, in the case of some rare games, yanked because they're taking up server space but not bringing in the bling.

But that's the entire reason why the game got removed, because they ran out of cdkeys. I think that unlike a digital version of the game which is limitless, cdkeys are only produced in a specific quantity when the game is released.

Couldn't they impliment more keys into a patch?
