Perhaps they could come out with different subscription models where people could get X amount of games for a discount in the form of credits each month depending on the prices of the game.

1 credit could equal 3 games at one price, or 2 games at a specific price point or 1 game at a specific price point.

There could be $5.99 and $9.99 tiers of game credit programs.

And for those who subscribe to the program get discounts on the much much higher cost game other then the $5.99 and $9.99 price points.

Not sure how this would work and this idea always has room for improvement.
Edit not working

Not sure it is the best idea because it's subscription vs just paying when you want to

A bit like Big Fish's game club?

or Wildtangents Wildcoins?

Not sure I would make use of it myself.

What about a loyalty club at GOG like Gamers Gate has. the more you purchase the cheaper games are.on sales.

... we already have this.

In the form of discounts as you buy or own more games during series / company sales.

GOG already discounts more often and more readily than most other sites. Hunt around, a few weeks ago they released a pay model that throws a discount to finishing a collection of games in 78 separate bundles including Hitman, Telltale, Syberia, tons of them. Plus people would be pissed since you can't retro-actively apply that to previous purchases. There's no data to say who's bought so much.
Didn't we have a similar thread to this several months ago, December or January? If I remember all the thread really did was piss a lot of people off; kind of like all of my threads. :P
No .

I'm not really aware of this, if it did tick off a lot of people that's not good,. I should have used the search function for similar threads before I posted this. I rarely do post to these forums so I apologize if this is going to cause an argument.

No don't worry. As far as I know the previous thread pissed a lot of people off because the OP was a real prick about it. He kept posting about how screwed up GOG was and how much better Steam was. Unless you start in with that I think you'll be just fine and please feel free to shoot these ideas out, we are listening. I don't know about the Blues, but we are.

I'm pretty sure there is. I agree with you that the idea is probably not feasible, but I'm quite sure GOG knows exactly who has bought exactly what. Otherwise the account section wouldn't work.

Don't worry. A nice argument is a good thing. It's only when the arguments deteriorate into flame wars that it gets tiresome. So far nobody has said anything about anybody else's mother, so I think we're good ;-)

So basically you're buying a subscription to discount whichever titles you may want that month (presumably capped at a certain number of titles per month) instead of being presented only the discounted titles of each particular sale event?

I dunno. Kinda takes the metafun out of guessing what's going to be on sale.
