Get your virtual table-top ready for an adventure in Temeria!

The Witcher Adventure Game, the digital installment of the board game set in the dark fantasy realm of The Witcher, is available 10% off for pre-orders, for Windows and Mac OS X, on GOG.com. That's only $8.99 until November 27, when we expect the game to launch. If you were taking part in the beta-test program for this title, you get a special (non-stackable) 40% off discount, valid until December 27.

The Witcher Adventure Game takes players on a journey across the world of the Witcher as they assume the roles of four distinct characters known from the books and video games: Geralt of Rivia, monster slayer; Triss Merigold, cunning sorceress; Yarpen Zigrin, dwarven warrior; and Dandelion, roguish bard. Each character has unique skills and multiple ways of overcoming obstacles - the choice is yours: do you fight your way to victory, call on your charm or try your hand at diplomacy? It's the true spirit of board gaming brought straight to your computer screen. Set in the mature and brutal world of The Witcher the game features 4 unique heroes with different skills and approaches to problem solving. With clear, simple rules and intuitive mechanics, tons of quest cards allow players to tell a new tale every time they play. Look adventure in the eye in a world with which you'll fall in love!

Time to research all the good-luck spells and enchantments that work on virtual dice, as you prepare to launch your first campaign in The Witcher Adventure Game, for only $8.99 (or $5.99 if you were among the beta-testers!), on GOG.com. The special pre-order discount lasts until December 4, the expected day of the game's release. The 40% off special discount for beta-test participants remains valid one month after the game's release.

**$8.99 is the discounted price for this title in the US. Other prices will apply in different countries. If you end up paying more than than the US price, we will reimburse the difference from our own pocket, giving it back to you in store credit (this is what we call the "Fair Price Package").

PaterAlf: So anothe regional priced game by CDPR. You blamed Namco Bandai for it the last time. What's your excuse for this game?
Well, I do know there will be a physical version of the board game itself coming out but as to whether that has any effect on the price of the digital version, I have no idea.

Can you gather some informations and be more specific please?
This thing is another huge setback for GOG credibility and recently you had more than you should.
Oh the irony....There is just no excuse, CDPR.
Can I politely ask why this needs to be priced differently in different countries?

Thanks
Physical board games are not regional priced. I can order board games in a foreign country and I have only to worry about shipment, taxes and duty. In my understanding for digital distribution are shipment and duty are no issue. So please get your prices straight.

Yeah, but each EU/European Country has it's VAT (in german: Mehrwertsteuer) ... you in Germany have 19 (or 19,5%), we have 22%, Hungary has 27% ... whenever it is buyed physical/digital, you also have to pay your local VAT.

I'm a bit confused... Another CD Projekt game with regional price? But this time it isn't distributed by Namco Bandai games, right?
Does the game feature offline LAN play ? Or is multi online only ?
I wonder if ti's good, some gamers have compared it to Runebound and that there is very little interaction between players.

I kinda liked Runebound though, and I'm ok with solitary multiplayer.

But I have in the EU only to pay the VAT of the country I am buying in. So lets say I buy in UK, then I have to pay their 20%. I have not to pay additionally our VAT of 19%.

What bothered me when I tried the beta was that although there was next to no interaction between players and it was hardly important to follow what the other players were doing, the camera still forced you to witness it, always interrupting what you were doing during other players' turns, so that you couldn't even study your own cards and plan your next moves until it was your turn again.

Of course, there's a possibility that they improved on it due to the feedback they got.
While I'm interested in the game, I wonder how the AI performs.. Being a windows game, I can only play it offline vs AI or in hotseat mode as my windows pc is strictly offline. I'll think about it, maybe it's better to wait for a linux version to enjoy it fully.

Russonc: Now this one looks good to me.... might grab this once I get home!

Edit - wish I was a beta tester for the bonus discount...hehe
Can give you a betakey if you want one :)
Still got one to spare with friends
Wow, another amazing project from CDPR :-) Thanks for your work, guys
I won't buy until simultaneous turns are implemented. It's just too boring to wait for other players to finish their turn.
