donhongo: At least retail seems to be DRM-free, if that's true, so perhaps I can get it second hand or borrow it somewhere.
Amazon says "Ohne Kopierschutz, dafür mit Retro-Code-Abfrage im Handbuch!", so while technically it seems there's no DRM on it, it still has a code check that I assume the GOG version has not, so it's not that different from the dice in The Whispered World, even if probably a bit less complicated. It sounds like you stil have to look up things in the manual each time you start the game. But hey, it's a retro feature! Put on your nostalgia goggles! :P

Sorry for the sarcasm, I just meant to say if you didn't like the way they handled it in TWW, you might not like this kind of code check DRM-free either (compared to code-free DRM-free on GOG).
Daedalic Entertainment games are not just games but unique works of art. Can you tell us about how these beautiful backgrounds are made? Are they all the work of one artist, or is a number of artists working together? If it is more than one, how do you assure stylistic consistency between the different drawings?

Lifthrasil: I think you can get a giftable code by choosing to buy the entire bundle as a gift. Then enter your own e-mail as the gift reciever. Then you can redeem your own code and if you already have Deponia, only The Night of the Rabbit will be redeemed and Deponia will be left over. After that you can give the code to someone else who should be able to redeem the 'leftover' game.

Awesome! thanks Barry, I greatly appreciate that. :)
that sucks. all i want is a german download version without DRM for a fair price (20-30 dollar to me) :/

i don't care for disc versions or their constant stupid distribution contracts with deep silver, rondo, or whoever, fact is: they fail to deliver - i don't buy.

maybe someday daedalic will arrive in the 21th century...

I'm new to posting. Where do we post questions for the developers of this game?
Thanks.

Then don't buy it. The demand determines the supply and price. ;)
i refuse to read anything about this. Iv seen the art style, and thats it by daedalic, so i will buy it and experience it without knowing anything else :)
I'm actually bit confused.some posts seem to indicate this comes with soundtrack but game card says it doesn't.if it doesn't why not?.

mondo84: This game looks stunning.
it absolutely does. I kept seeing the art in an ad and was compelled by it, without knowing anything at all. Then i found out daedalic is making it, and now its an automatic buy for me.
Game looks cool, but am I the only one who saw the title and immediately thought of B-horror titles like "Night of the Lepus" and "Barn of the Blood-Llama"?
Why do you think the point and click adventure genre is having something of a renaissance in recent years, after many years of nothing in the mid nighties to 2005, after the close of major publishers Sierra online and Lucas Arts?
