The Blackwell Epiphany, the fifth supernatural murder and mystery story in Wadjet Eye Games old-school point-and-click series with classic 2D graphics and a chilling story, is available for pre-order on GOG.com. For $14.99 you'll be getting the game as soon as it launches (approximately April 24), and some amazing goodies, including the extended demo available only on GOG.com!

The Blackwell Epiphany sets the atmosphere: a dead man’s soul cries out against the force of a ferocious blizzard. He cries for help. He cries for answers. Then he screams as he is torn apart like damp tissue paper. This wasn’t the first time, and it won’t be the last. The police are powerless to stop it, so the duty falls to the only ones who can. What force could be so powerful – and so malevolent – that it would destroy the very core of a life in order to get what it wants? Rosa Blackwell and Joey Mallone mean to find out, even if it means risking themselves in the process.

The Blackwell Epiphany comes with some very exciting pre-order exclusive content. For $14.99 You'll be getting an extended demo of the game (available now, only on GOG.com!), a full game soundtrack, video interviews with voice actors Abe Goldfarb (Joey) and Rebecca Whittaker (Rosa) discussing their work on the series, a New York City video tour with series creator Dave Gilbert showing and talking about the real-world locations that inspired the Blackwell games, and virtual invite to the Blackwell Epiphany launch party on the evening of April 24--all of the latter coming soon.
I will buy this as soon as I finish Broken Sword 5, Moebius, Tex Murphy 6, or if it goes on sale, whichever comes sooner. Love the Blackwell series.

Ghorpm: That's a mind-blowing thing about technology and the Internet: I can make some serious experiments while lying on a sofa in my apartment. Everything is automated, I can transfer the samples from one tool to another, make measurement on them, further process them, measure again, virtually everything...
All the while enjoying pirogies or <insert_favourite_dish>, instead of scorpions-on-a-stick. Blessed times!
Wishlisted for now, I'll buy this when it drops to $5.99 or less.

deonast: Raw measurement data, now what would that be. Obviously not the digital equivalent of a tape measure. What sort of data, climate, space, oceanographic?

Ghorpm: Unprocessed data from lab analytical tool - I'm a physicist and the lab I'm currently working for is on the other side of the globe. That's a mind-blowing thing about technology and the Internet: I can make some serious experiments while lying on a sofa in my apartment. Everything is automated, I can transfer the samples from one tool to another, make measurement on them, further process them, measure again, virtually everything...

Usually I'm not copying any data on my computer but during Easter I may have some issues with Internet connection (I'll be traveling a lot) so I prefer to have something to work with ;) But copying is almost done so Blackwell shall soon be mine :D
Ah excellent, I seriously respect that kind of work and the knowledge and learning it takes to do it. I'll grab a drink later and offer a toast to whatever technology breakthroughs might result in the future from research like yours.

In Australian sadly research is given less emphasis than it used to, CSIRO which is a government research body has got rid of a lot of scientists due to our government cutting their funding. I hope the government or organisation you work for have a much longer vision.

Insta-pre-order :)

I´m glad they decided to put it here for pre-order
And Redline looks nice too, bought as well..

groze: When has GOG said they don't support pre-releases?! I ...
avatar
Mivas: GOG hadn't supported pre-releases until recently and since then it has been a possibility, not sure thing.

Blackwell is my favorite game/series from Wadjet Eye and I would buy it a day one anyway, so I don't see a reason why not give an indie developer $ sooner.
Primordia was available for pre-order here.

Primordia released, roughly, in June 2012. That is almost *two years ago*.

Hesusio: I thought this would be an insta-buy for me, but $15 is quite steep. ...
On the record, the game should be the longest episode in series. Dave Gilbert said it took him to finish it in 5 hours and I assume he knew where to look and what to do next.

What can I say, time flies fast.

Anything coming from this guy = instabuy for me. Purchased the game, waiting for release now. Highly recommend everybody do the same.

HypersomniacLive: Another voice added to those that don't appreciate the pre-order exclusive nonsense. I'm actually quite disappointed in Wadjet Eye Games for going down this route.

avatar
OlausPetrus: I don't know if it will backfire. It's been industry standard for a long time to offer pre-order goodies and it hasn't really affected to sales after the pre-orders.

HypersomniacLive: If we want this "industry standard" to change, we should make an effort to affect primarily pre-orders, but I guess a good number of people are too happy with getting exclusives that the average Jo won't get afterwards - and that's sad.
I also pre-ordered the game, but to be honest I don't even care much about those extras and my reason was that I want to play the game ASAP when it is released. However in general I'm not against pre-order extras, because those pre-order extras are there to encourage people to buy the game with full price at day one instead of waiting 80% off GOG or Steam sale. I see pre-order bonus stuff like buying a limited collector's edition, if you pay more then you'll get more stuff. However I'm not against making those available for everyone later.

Impaler26: I have the other Blackwell games on Desura and i will buy this when i can get it for 3 or 4 bucks.

But it's really sad to see that the nice bonus content is pre-order exclusive - this sucks!
I'll live. If there are some tunes in the game I absolutely must have, I'll fork1$ to 3$ extra on iTunes.

Hmm, pre-order exclusives? No pre-orders for me; I got burned too many times now.

I know it dumb but Dave Gilbert has said that the soundtrack may be available to buy by itself for a dollar
Just finished 1-4 and excited to see 5 here!

Oh, yes. I made a mess of that, but I believe both games had pre-orders.
