The title that succeeded in turning the 1994 holiday season into a trigger-happy fragtastic mayhem has been given a new lease on life and is on its way to our computer screens. Sporting top-notch modern graphics and animation it will also retain its original gory-but-funny spirit, skillfully catering both to our nostalgia and modern gaming needs. Yes, Rise of the Triad is coming to GOG.com, and pre-ordering today comes with special benefits!

Rise of the Triad has everything that made its predecessor so memorable, from zany weapons, through gory visuals, down to the frantic multi-player mayhem. Talking about multi-player, our DRM-free version will be mulitplayer-compatible with all other versions, so you'll get to go fragging your friends whatever their preferred game delivery system might be. While the game looks and feels very 2013, the developers went out of their way to recreate that special RotT feel. Just look!

Really nice to see this game on GOG. Everything has looked great since the initial announcement last summer at Quake Con.

My question for the devs:

- Given that RoTT was so fast paced and frenetic, how do you approach rekindling that kind of gameplay in the modern era in the sense of balancing the pace and mayhem while ensuring the game isn't too difficult for people to play/enjoy? What specific challenges were associated with this in terms of game design, and how did you approach/resolve them?

Best of luck!

My "epic" questions to the devs:

Did you find it difficult to design levels with more detail and functionality than the original RotT?
What new features have you implemented in the new game other than better graphics and more complex level design?
Why did you see that now is the right time for the reboot?
Who is the most badass playable single player character in the game?
4 games for the price of 1 cannot be beat I'm blown away on this deal.. Thank you everyone for making this happen!
Oh. My. God.

I'm so pre-ordering this. I used to play the crap out of the original. One of my all-time favorite shooters.

Finding both the Larry remake and this on GOG at the same time totally made my day! My wallet hurts but I don't care. July 31 can't get here fast enough!
July, 31? Damn, that's a full month! =)
I have a question for the devs.
How do you guys think about the trend to upload gameplay for example as lets play of your game/ new released games in general? Do you say 'do whatever you want with it, you bought it' or are you overall against this trend?

Can't wait to return to the fortress. I say WOOF! until then folks! ;)
I'm not the greatest FPS gamer, but the three bonus games (don't own one of them) makes the deal really interesting for me. Will wait till the end of the summer sale, but I think I will preorder this game (and normally I never preorder games).

Well played Interceptor, Apogee and GOG!
THANKS!
Nice. Too bad I already own all the freebies. Guess those will be gifted away at some point. It makes me want to scrounge up my GOG copy of RotT though. :)
Here's a question: RotT had some rather varied music, how's the new game in the music department?
My question: It's obvious this game is a love letter to older FPS games like Quake, Doom, and even a hint of Serious Sam can be reflected from the trailer. What were the main inspirations in developing this title, if any?

This game. LOL
My question is: Are any of the members from the original working on this remake? If so, that's pretty rad.
Nice remake, im looking forward to it.
