Malek86: Question for the devs: are there gonna be any measures for players who suffer from motion sickness? For example, an option to disable view bobbing, or at least a FOV slider?
I know they have confirmed a FOV slider.

Thanks, that's much appreciated. A view bobbing option (like in Serious Sam) would still be my first choice, but in case it weren't possible, I suppose if I have trouble I could at least increase the FOV a bit.

Yes we have a real-time FOV slider, + a lot of advanced settings to fine-tune the game the way you like it

Firstly, thank you for having the courage to release such a high-profile title DRM-free on day one :) A pity that so many devs/publishers lack this courage these days.

Secondly, what anti-cheat measures will the multiplayer be using (specifically in the GOG version, but I assume it will apply to all versions)?

We are using a very strong Multiplayer Netcode. Together with manual banning of players who find ways to cheat, we will do our best to ensure everyone the best possible online experience. This is something we will continue to perfect after the release of the game, with the help of our community :)

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!?

WHAT ARE YOU ON CRACK!!

WHY DON'T YOU DERPEP THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE GAMES AND THUS HAD THE CODES JUST SITTING THERE AND THUS GAVE THEM TO ME?
WELL?

Oh no you can't answer that, just like you worthless fucking waste of space can't admit to being the ones who follow me from thread to thread and hit all of my post. May you get an itch you can't scratch and may your children grow up to be pedophiles!

And one more thing, I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!!. In fact the more you hound me the worse I am going to get. MUHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
I think it's more likely because of:

1) The thread is still new, and you're already asking for free games.
2) This is not a gifting thread.
3) You have tendency to go off-topic, and your words can be pretty offensive to certain people out there.

It's like you're inviting people to downvoted your post.

This is done using Unreal Engine 3(fully licensed, not just the UDK). Interceptor Entertainment is a new studio that as a studio has only worked on Duke Nukem 3D Reloaded prior to this. Although some of the Reloaded team has moved on to other jobs and they have hired other new people on to the ROTT team. The ROTT team is distributed all over the world, all though they have a HQ in Herning, Denmark where their founder and CEO is.

Some members of their team have various levels of prior experiences in the industry while others are new comers to the industry. Perhaps their most experienced team member is their CCO Khaled Ibrahimi wos was Cinematic Director on Killzone 3.As an Unreal Engine 3 game it is programmed in C++, Unrealscript and presumably HLSL for the shaders.
thanks Kristian very interesting stuff :)

Hi Frederik:

Thank you very much for bringing us this gem re-booted! Most probably my deepest childhood thoughts are linked to this game, so definitively I will buy it.

I have 3 questions:

1. Original ROTT was considerably long for his time. How long will last ROTT2013 single player experience?
2. What other reboot projects (on-going or not) have you in mind?
3. Which maximum system requirements have you considered to play it at max quality with all filters included?

Thank you very much again...this is a very very good news!

kind regards.
Miguel.

Nice to know about this game being released in GOG
How did this reboot get started, community demand?
How did some of the devs from New Zealand get involved with a project so far away?

Hello, I actually got the original RotT a few months ago and played it for the first time and quite enjoyed.

How many of the 4 original episodes will it include on release? If not all 4 episodes will the remainder come out as DLC/episodic content? Any plans/thoughts on Extreme RotT?

We had a few Favorites we wanted to do at some point.
We were so lucky, that our investor was a big ROTT fan as well.
Apogee got in touch with us, and the rest is story! :)

Our Lead Level Designer, Leon Zawada, worked on one of the most popular TC's for the original ROTT.
"Return of the Triad".

He actually started as an Intern on the Project, but quickly went up the corporate ladder.

FWIW, I hope you realize that this is an extremely disrespectful post for all parties involved in the thread topic.

Thank you for the interest!

1. The original ROTT had a lot of "Filler" levels, that werent quite up to the standard of the Shareware episode.
In the reboot we decided to focus on good levels. The game has 20 singleplayer levels, spread over 4 episodes.
For the regular player the Singleplayer Campaign will most likely last between 10-12 hours, while speedrunners might be able to finish it in around 6 hours or less. It's a game with a lot of exploration, secrets, and puzzles as well. So the leght of the game is often determined by which type of gamer you are.

2. We can't reveal that yet, but it will be Legen - Wait for it... Dary! ;)

3. Im playing on an i7, 4ghz, with GTX660 SLI, and I get around 120 fps avarage.
