The Retro-Style Indie Adventure.

Resonance, a point-and-click that mixes classic adventure with twists and unique ideas, is available for digital pre-order exclusively on GOG.com for only $8.99--that’s 10% off the full price, only during preorders!

Resonance is an atmospheric sci-fi adventure in which four characters try to find a dead particle physicist’s hidden vault and prevent the new terrifying technology he’s discovered from getting into the hands of a dangerous organization. We’re not going to spoil the story for you, but the lives of four regular people you will control become entangled in a gripping thriller adventure. The classic point-and-click interface is accompanied by a unique long-term and short-term memory system, which allows to “collect” memories and use them to solve puzzles or start conversations and--in effect--rearrange the storyline.

Resonance features wonderful retro 2D pixel-art graphics, a riveting storyline, original soundtrack, professional voice actors, intuitive interface, and four playable and memorable characters. The game is available for pre-order on GOG.com starting today and will be released on the 19th of June. Until then, Resonance is available with a 10% discount and immediate access to all the goodies GOG.com has gathered for our users, including desktop wallpapers, avatars, a digital poster (suitable for printing), the game’s MP3 soundtrack, and video developer diaries.

GOG, I must say, I really like your new release model - one game (old one, usually) in Tuesday and Old/New on Thursday.

You did knock my socks off with 2012 releases - and I bet you didn´t even started yet ;)

Heh, I didn't see that post, but rest assured I was joking.

Hey everyone! Dave from Wadjet Eye here. So happy that everyone is excited for this. It's been a real blast working on it. My wife's been programming it full time for the last 11 months, and I recently wrapped up the voice acting. Directing Logan Cunningham of "Bastion" fame was certainly a thrill.

There is absolutely NO chance of this game ending up on a bundle at launch. For two reasons. First, we're a big advocate of selling new games at new game prices (pre-order deals nonwithstanding!). So maybe you'll see Resonance on a Bundle in 6-8 months, but not now. Secondly... Humble Indie Bundle only takes games that are PC/Mac/Linux compatible. So even if we wanted to give it to them, we couldn't! So it's safe. In terms of pre-order deals, GoG has the best one around.

Anyway, both Vince and I will be keeping an eye on this thread so feel free to ask any quesions you'd like!

Hi Dave. I always wanted to say thanks for the time when Wadjet Eye gave away The Shivah for free for a limited time. It was quite an interesting game, I never played a rabbi before.

Thanks again!

Looks interesting and neat.

The developer/publisher (Wadjet Eye Games) also did The Blackwell series in which The Blackwell Legacy is a based on and is a partial remake of Dave Gilbert's game Bestowers of Eternity.

Wow! This looks really good. The screenshots, the video... this is a sure buy.

One questions that popped up immediately when I saw this: any chance that there will be a special platinum über gizmo edition with both Resonance and Gemini Rue bundled together? Because that would be the bomb! (and I do think that both games fit together perfectly due to their sci-fi theme)
Good to see Wadjet Eye on GOG. Their games will definitely fit right in. Loved Gemini Rue! :D
Really? GOG? You had to put this out after I more or less threw my entire fortune at the Tex Murphy Kickstarter?

:(

Don't worry, release is next month (19 June), that should be enough time to find some money under the sofa ;-)

Indeed, but buying NOW is so satisfying.

I too will have to wait. It's eating me alive! ;)
I'll be per-ordering this. Thanks. I loved the Blackwell games and can't wait to play this one also.
Note to those who may have found my wording less than clear: I'll update the body of the news post tomorrow when I'm back in the office and can actually do that--I seem to have locked out my home IP--but as the developers have stated: the only exclusive part is the digital pre-order.

Wadjet Eye is good people, we've had a great time working with them so far, and I'm sure we're all looking forward to their newest release in a smidge under a month. ;)

Sounds Great!

Will you bring the other Wadjet Eye games here? How about purchasing the rights for Emerald City Confidential back from Playfirst and bringing that here, too?

I loved your youtube audio commentary on Emerald City Confidential and all the anecdotes about Casual Gaming, absolutely hilarious!
