The Retro-Style Indie Adventure.

Resonance, a point-and-click that mixes classic adventure with twists and unique ideas, is available for digital pre-order exclusively on GOG.com for only $8.99--that’s 10% off the full price, only during preorders!

Resonance is an atmospheric sci-fi adventure in which four characters try to find a dead particle physicist’s hidden vault and prevent the new terrifying technology he’s discovered from getting into the hands of a dangerous organization. We’re not going to spoil the story for you, but the lives of four regular people you will control become entangled in a gripping thriller adventure. The classic point-and-click interface is accompanied by a unique long-term and short-term memory system, which allows to “collect” memories and use them to solve puzzles or start conversations and--in effect--rearrange the storyline.

Resonance features wonderful retro 2D pixel-art graphics, a riveting storyline, original soundtrack, professional voice actors, intuitive interface, and four playable and memorable characters. The game is available for pre-order on GOG.com starting today and will be released on the 19th of June. Until then, Resonance is available with a 10% discount and immediate access to all the goodies GOG.com has gathered for our users, including desktop wallpapers, avatars, a digital poster (suitable for printing), the game’s MP3 soundtrack, and video developer diaries.

TheEnigmaticT: In proper grammar, you would be correct. But I'm actually using a colloquialism. "X is good people."

Lexor: Hmmm.... this "colloquialism" could be the perfect way for me to excuse my lack of "superb command of written and spoken English" when applying for the Content Specialist position, right? :D
You get the Colloquialism perk when you reach level 20 as an English speaker :P

Sadly, you get the Stiff Upper Lip at 19.

Depends on what race you pick at the beginning. I think if you roll a British English Speaker, you get the Stiff Upper Lip perk. Americans just get the Mouth of the South (the ability to broadcast one's voice over long distances...). Well, I know I have the Mouth of the South perk because people are always telling me "Damn, man, you are LOUD!"

We could do something like the Walls of Jericho:

Get us all together, fuel us with coffee, and voila! wall torn down :D

VinceTwelve: The extra goodies like the soundtrack, wallpapers, developer diaries (from me!) etc. will be exclusive to GoG, though some of them are included in the boxed copy as well.

Ordering from GoG or Wadjet gets you a DRM-free copy.
So if I understand correctly the DRM-free download version from Wadjet Eye won't include any extras and unless one orders the boxed copy, GOG will be the only place to get the soundtrack bundled with the game? In that case, I'm going to buy it here.

davelgil: I tried, but they ain't selling. :(

As for my back catalog... that's up to GoG! ;)

Lafazar: Pity about Playfirst.

GOG would be the perfect audience for your back catalog, so it would make sense for everybody.
Yeah, that's a shame. The only reason I didn't buy it yet is that I'd like a DRM-free version. At the moment, I guess, Steam is still the best place to buy it, but it feels odd having to run an online client in order to be able to play an old-school point-and-click adventure. :/

Let's hope that Wadjet Eye Games on both Steam and GOG will help Dave make enough money that he doesn't ever have to resort to commisioned work again. ;)

ng: I must admit I know nothing about Wadjet Eye and I have never played any of their adventures but after reading your posts I'm pretty convinced I just have to buy it. And so I did.
Ah, if only I had two lives or could safely skip my night sleep, I'd be able to play many good games. Not so lucky...
I think you won't regret it. After playing Blackwell series, I think I'm going to buy every game wadjet eye release. There is really something special about those games...
