We didn't choose the thug life. We've been blessed with it by fate.

Omerta: City of Gangsters, an organized crime simulation that will let you dominate 1920s Atlantic City as a mafia boss, is available for pre-order on GOG.com for only $33.99. That's 15% off the regular price! The offer ends on Thursday, January 31, at 10:59AM GMT, when the game is released.

Omerta. Remember the word. Back in the day, I wouldn't have to lay it out for you, kid. Everybody knew how it works, even a complete cafone. You don't talk to the law. There. Easy as that. Anyone who talks is a rat. And a rat deserves to be popped, just as any vermin. So, whether you are a made man, a goodfella, a wiseguy, or just a thug, you live by that one simple rule. You never talk. Even if the coppers ask you to rat out your worst enemy. Even if by telling them something you could easily wipe out your whole competition. You don't do that. You just don't. Unless you want to end up like Eddie the Eel. Funnily enough, it turned out that he couldn't swim. At least not in the concrete boots he couldn't. But I digress, kid. There's really just one thing you need to remember: Omerta. As in: shut your pie-hole. Capisce?

Omerta: City of Gangsters brings life to the prohibition-era Atlantic City, where you struggle for power against the law enforcement and--most notably--other mob families. It's a multi-layered urban simulation complete with turn-based tactical combat. You're an aspiring gangster slowly recruiting a gang of partners in crime, working your way up the criminal food-chain, and hoping to--one day--become the Capo di tutti Cappi, the boss of all bosses. With over 15 hours of gameplay in each unique playthrough, 20 detailed territories to claim as your own, and a cooperative or competitive multiplayer modes Omerta: City of Gangsters is the organized crime simulator we've been waiting for!

Pre-order Omerta: City of Gangsters before Thursday, January 31, at 10:59AM GMT for only $33.99!

Oh, by the way--since this is a pre-order, this technically doesn't count as our 500th release. You'll have to wait for that till tomorrow, and there's a good reason to visit as then, as we have something special planned to go with that milestone.

But now, back to Omerta:

Speculations about the game OPEN:

Maybe!
Never heard of this before, but it looks pretty interesting.
How come is this game on gog.com? It's neither old, nor crreated by indie developer, nor is known to be good [yet].
Are you just trying to become another steam?
Is it a coincidence that this game has the same name as one of the cities in Jagged Alliance 2?
Am i the only person on the planet who is reminded of Jagged Alliance by the title of that game=
Honestly? For $30 i would have thought there were better choices for new game releases on GOG (having said that i guess new drm free game choices at this stage would be limited right?):/. Trailer looks ok. The 1920's/30's is not really my type of era (skipped the Mafia games). Might be nice for those into that type of thing...

They never said they were going after Indie games only. It just may seem that way because of the lower price points.

G-Doc: No.

gameon: It's a bit confusing that the game counter says 500 though. Surely the big 500th game (probably tomorrow) would be 501...............!
Pre-order... This isn't on gog yet :p

They have new games by non-indie people too... I think it's interesting to see gog offer a pre-order on a non-indie game (with the exception of the witcher people)

15 hrs seems a bit short to me. Looks cool though.

Yeah, i figured that out, but it strikes me as a little absurd that the counter officially states 500 games in the catalogue. It's just slightly irritating to me to see the 500th game come in at 501.

OCD i know, but it's just going to happen, and it seems silly to me!

Then again, there are 500 games (packages) in the catalogue, but not all of those are available for purchase (granted, this does mean that GOG could add a category of "games we don't sell, and likely won't for a good while" with a couple thousand games and accompanying gamepages, and increase the catalogue size manyfold).

I'll probably buy it once the price goes down since I love 20's-50's era and I also love Mafia.

Either way, tomorrow can't come fast enough.
technically we already reached the 500th game EVER available on GOG, since XII was removed from the catalogue
Looks interesting, wishlisting for now. Gotta love that turned base.
