i've been interested in this game ever since i first read about it on RPS. tbh i've never played a single game of this kind, though they've always intrigued me.

i'm not sure if i should jump on the pre-order without trying a demo first, though. the game might be a bit too old-school. there's a reason games had certain limitations back then. they just couldn't do it any other way due to hardware limitations.

it does look good and seems to have an appropriate atmosphere. i'm certainly going to wait for the Steam offer and then decide which gives me better value. achievements would be a plus, tbh.

I noticed yesterday it had gone gold and then I find it up for per-order here. Hells yes I am.

MonstaMunch: Looks like a great game, sadly I'll have to give it a miss as from the looks of it, it's yet another first person only game :(

bevinator: Out of curiosity, why is first-person a no-sell for you?
If my memory serves right, he has sickness related to first person view game.
PO'ed.
My computer is right on the border to meet the requirements, I got a 6 core 2.7 ghz and a hd 6450 512 mb AMD. Did anyone who ran the compatibility test think I will have trouble? Maybe I will wait for a demo.
If it is like Dungeon Master or Eye of the Beholder then I'm interested.
Pre-ordered and nobody can't call me a liar! :)

Oh yes! I was between Legend of Dead Kel and this, Grimrock won.
After several strong disappointments, I had sworn to never, never, never pre-order a game again.
But l forfeit my pledge for this one!
Sounds like my kind of game. It's good to have more choices me thinks.

bevinator: Does anyone know if commands can be issued while the game is paused, or if the game speed can be changed? Controlling things like which spells to cast in real-time can be a nightmare for real-time party-based games, and the promo video looks pretty spastic.
This is precisely why people should wait for reviews that might tell you or a demo. And what you are mentioning has been a bugaboo of mine. I am personally avoiding preorders and try to damp excitement down so I won't be disappointed.

However, Steam and GOG are the only services I really care about anymore, it is awesome that GOG is getting new releases!
How do these new preorders work on GOG? Definitely not like the Witcher 2 one. It asks for your card details up-front, but does it only take the payment on the date it's released?

It's pretty bad when a site comes up with a new feature, yet you can't find any kind of information on how it actually works.
Looks pretty good.

I may have to get this.
Here, take my money! *preorders*

Seriously, though, I have been waiting for this game more than Christmas ever since I heard of it the first time, which was sometime last year.

I am expecting a good game, and besides, it is my duty to support Finnish computer games industry, especially if the game is from a genre I enjoy. :)
Just a small gripe, there...
GOG, how comes you let people give stars and reviews for this game, when you know that none of the potential reviewers have played the game yet? Frankly, I find it bordering with dishonesty to have this game, as promising as it may be, given five highly promotional stars by enthusiastic kids who can't hold their horses.
(Note that I'm enthusiastic too, and have pre-ordered the game already.)

Another subject: does anyone know how many playing hours this RPG needs to be completed?

I came when I saw it... And of course I pre-ordered it!
