I like them, and I honestly don't care if anyone else sees my achievements or not. It's just another layer of gameplay; I really don't understand the hate.

With that out of the way: to my surprise, I watched the whole TotalBiscuit video; the combat looks as clumsy as I thought it would, but I'm really starting to think I'll preorder this thing. There's obviously been so much love poured into it I really want to reward the guys just for that. Even though these dungeon crawlers have never really been my thing.

Me too. A lot of the time they add to the game by providing you with incentive to try doing things a different way, or do things that you wouldn't have bothered with at all otherwise.

It's the "cool" thing to hate, along with "short-linear-MODERN" games....well for some it is, anyways. :\

I really hope it is goin to be a huge hit for those guys!! we need more studios like this!

Antti: we have to be very mindful on where we pour our resources into. Saving time from implementing a feature like this ensures that the time can be used on improving rest of the game - something which certainly applies to all customers, no matter where they buy the game from.

I was joking ;). Bard's Tale 1,2,3 (along with Wasteland, Magic Candle, Wizards Crown etc) were some of the first rpg's i ever played. The Bard's tunes were quite neat actually :P. Would love a proper remake of that series somewhere in the future lol

Magic Candle....I still have the original floppies somewhere from a version I got about 15 years back at a bargain bin. I loved the story but hated the gameplay mechanics(moving/interacting/etc).
