TheEnigmaticT: Be civil, folks. If you're making personal attacks in a thread about preorders for a dungeon-crawler, you're doing it wrong.
You are absolutely right "TheEnigmaticT" !

But since you wrote "you're doing it wrong." then I have to ask what would be the right way for people to attack me ?

(I'll add some exclamation points for the benefit of "bazilisek")!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I see. So you're just handpicking completely out of context words now and continuing some kind of tirade against steam by continuously reposting the same thing, like it's the end all be all of arguments.

Well, no point arguing with that. Good luck with that.

Not publicly? Say, in PM's, or duke it out in a game?

Well , I didn't get any PMs like that (Which reminds me that that would get you banned from Steam forums or give you points towards same if you PM someone the wrong words , actually you can get banned permanently instantly if you put a little effort into your PM)

The thing with talking about these " 5-hour interactive movies " is that 10 years from now, these games will probably be on GoG.com .

That's quite silly, in my opinion. Such heated discussions* have little place in the public space, the best way to handle any attacks is "calmly", perhaps not responding at all.

*I'm not sure I want to call it "discussions", from either side, but I can't find another nice word for it.

Is that what got your forum account banned then?

At least, given your elaborations on what can get you banned and your mentions of the mods having a 'god complex' and your, let's just call it ... style of posting, it would seem to be a likely conclusion that you got banned from the forums.

And yes, harassing/flaming people, even in PM, will get you points, and if you make it to the point of racism and the like you'll probably get instabanned :)

I was lured by temptation. I also agree with you that most of the time it's better to hold your tongue or sit on your hands whatever the case may be.

No , You are right that I got "banned" (and that permanently and instantaneously) in the Steam forums .
That was because some morons started attacking me like here , over there it were not a suggestion from a moron to go see a shrink it were worse , one of the creeps suggested himself envisioning me getting a stroke while at my computer and another were at my back in another thread...
Then I told the other guy that had been harassing me that his behaviour and response were thaat of someone with very little intelligence (or somethiing along those lines) .
Then the "freakin' " MOD stepped in and while I had been attacked I had no right to write this or that....
So I were dealt punishment points , I wrote the MOD and explained the situation and he couldn't care less , so knowing the result I took the satisfaction in telling him to go "f**k himself" .....

It should be noted that I had helped a lot of people with their game problems in one of the sub-forums for months without any problems.

I can see why that was probably an incredibly annoying experience. It's not an uncommon rule on forums though. There's a lot of forums that basically hold on to 'Two wrong's don't make a right'. I've gotten temp bans for that here or there myself as well, when letting myself get dragged in. Basic rule though if someone is doing it is to report it, not to join in.

You are absolutely right , but I am not a young man , and I have plenty of people that have been very cruel to me throughout my life so I think that I just have come to a point where I won't take "this shit" anymore....
(So I have a clear tendency to "stand up for myself" !)

Okay, how about we put your "god complex" hypothesis in the maybe pile and explore this further as a possible cause for your forum ban.

(My "Steams god complex" "hypothesis")
Nothing to do with why I got banned , I got banned because I wouldn't take their shit and injustice.....

But I did notice in the process that Steam got this "god complex" , you know like kiss their a** or f**k off....... And I were told that I could complain to "support" , in a company whos basic rule is that the customer is never right and the company always (when you cut to the bone of it all!!!) (Ref: Subscriber agreement)
