patthefatrat: No, Might & Magic is turn-based, while Grimrock will be real-time. Eye of the Beholder series plays like this as does Lands of Lore. Perhaps I should dig out my old EOB games...
Is it similar but the only difference is M&M is turn-base and this is real-time?

If you remember Wizardry or Bard’s Tale, and miss the kind of RPG-ing they offered--or maybe want to find out what all those dusty old gamers mumble about when complaining about modern games...

Isn't Grimrock more a Dungeon Crawler like the Eye of the Beholder or Dungeon Master series? Never played Wizardry or Bard's Tale, but they look a little bit different to me (maybe I'm wrong here).

Btw, hello to Almost Human and all the others indie devs and folk ;-)

wrong, you can play might & magic in real time too (at least part VI+)
but from what I've learnt Grimrock will be more crawly / solvy puzzly / fighty, while M&M is an exploring, fighting focused RPG

Try Stonekeep, it plays and looks like this. Was probably one of the LoG inspirations.
