Human mind: the greatest puzzle of them all.

Ether One, a stylish and myst-ifying first-person perspective puzzle adventure in which you explore the mysterious realm existing in the depths of a human mind, is available 15% off for pre-orders on GOG.com. That's only $16.99 until Tuesday, March 25 when the game is scheduled for launch. Pre-order now, and you'll receive the upgrade to the Deluxe Edition (worth $14.99) for FREE.

Ether One is a first person adventure that deals with the fragility of the human mind. There are two paths in the world you can choose from. At it’s core is a story exploration path free from puzzles where you can unfold the story at your own pace. There is also a deeper, more adventurous path in which you can complete complex puzzles to restore life changing events of the patients history in order to help the validation of their life. As the developers put it: The aim of the parallel paths was to make Ether One accessible to a range of skilled players. The hope was that people would be able to enjoy playing the game and solving puzzles with parents or friends, as well as immersed in the game on your own with the lights off. From a young age we enjoyed the first person puzzle games that required you to write cryptic notes on spare pieces of paper to unravel mysteries. Ether One aims to bring back pen and paper puzzle solving, whilst still being accessible and optional for people not wanting to get stuck and frustrated on the harder puzzles."

Pre-order Ether One for only $16.99 for the best value for your money! You'll get instant access to all of the game's bonus content--including all of the Deluxes Edition goodness like the full high-quality soundtrack (MP3 and FLAC) or the comics. This fantastic offer lasts until Tuesday, March 25, at 10:59AM GMT, so don't miss out!
Graphics look good but I can't bring myself to like Myst so I think I'd better stay away from this.
Not to mention the price. I can buy many G.O.G.s with that money.
It does look nice.
The gamecard seems to be missing the price; it's just "pre-order, save $3" for me. The $16.99 only appear on Checkout.

The scenery looks beautiful, btw, but why are there no screenshots that give a first impression of the puzzles?

Is this the first time GOG have withheld some bonus content, keeping it only for 'Deluxe edition' purchasers?
Not judging, just wondering if this is unprecedented...
Hmmmmmm this one looks interesting
Been following and anticipating this one for a while, my kind of game. Needs a juicy collectors edition in a cardboard, triangular box.

So is the full price for Deluxe $35?

Kinda wish Double Fine Adventure tried something like this.
Pre-ordering a game I never heard about? No thanks. Screenshots and the description make it sound interesting, but not quite enough.
Whoa, looks interesting. And goodies! Has anyone seen proper gameplay? :)
Dear Ether One...
Da fuq? Is the soundtrack exclusive to the Deluxe Edition? Man, that sucks... I remember the days where GOG including goodies with their games was one of the main selling points. To see them start being walled off in "Deluxe Editions" makes me sad.

Not up to GOG i think . Plenty of indie games released last 12 -18 months charged extra for soundtracks (its the in thing unfortunately)
Putting the soundtrack only in the deluxe edition is a bit against the traditional GOG way... but mostly I still have a huge backlog of unplayed adventures from GOG. Therefore I will have a look at this later. I like the graphics style here.

Fair enough - just don't remember seeing it before, obviously not paying close enough attention (or my memory's going, or both, probably both!)

Hmm, what/where is this deluxe edition? I only see Ether One for $16,99, there is no deluxe editions or anything...
