Dangerous developments in the dumpsters of disorder.

Deponia 2: Chaos on Deponia, the extravagant sequel anticipated by the fans of the cartoony point-and-click delight that was Deponia, is available for digital pre-order on GOG.com for only $13.99--that’s 30% off the full price, only during pre-orders! Or, if you’re the completionist type, you can even get both the original game and the sequel packed together with an amazing 40% discount!

The game picks up the story more or less where the previous game has ended. Once again we join the big-mouthed smartass Rufus and Goal, his love interest from the higher spheres of the planet, on their exciting journey through the landscapes of the trash-covered planet. After just recently saving the world from certain doom, our characters would seem to deserve some kind of a closure and a little time off, but the story forces them to take action against even more ominous menace threatening Deponia. And just to make things worse, Goal faces a serious identity crisis. It's not that she's not entirely herself, no. There's just much more of her then usual. Yup, it’s that serious!

Deponia 2: Chaos on Deponia brings back everything you loved about the first game and then it raises the bar even more. It's all there--the clever puzzles, the beautiful cartoony graphics, the top-notch voice acting, the brilliant humor, and the outstanding characters--but this time, it all feels even more vivid! You'll feel invested in the story and the protagonists as you explore the trash-covered world on the edge of chaos. Point-and-click adventurers, puzzle solvers, comedy fans! Don't miss out on this wonderful journey!

Pre-order Deponia 2: Chaos on Deponia now on GOG.com for only $13.99--that's 30% off the regular price--and prepare for yet another crazy ride across the Deponian junkyards. Or you can grab both Deponia games at once for a whopping 40% discount!
The artwork in the Daedalic games is truly beautiful, it's a shame the animation feels rather Adobe-Flashesque, kind of clunky, slow paced.

I'm not playing point and clicks, just complimenting the artists here. :)
Is the discount available until the release?

I'll be able to buy this game on November.

Regarding the counter on the promo page you have 18 days to catch some money. What I miss is the german language version, but I don't know if that's also relevant for you.

What a hipster.

Yes. I also own Deponia 1 and I just checked the promo page and it offers me to buy Deponia 2 for $11.99 (through this link).

I'm glad to see it here but I'd definitely welcome to see an improved language support. An inability to choose which voice-over and which subtitles I want to play with is rather frustrating. I miss the combo original VO + English subtitles :(.

It was neat to see Carsten on the stage, btw :).

Yes. I applauded before I realized I wasn't actually there and no one except the neighbors could hear me. Then I applauded some more.

b
Yes, but only with using headphones. At the same time the television plays a Shakespeare production from the BBC, of course at maximum volume.

That's better now.

German voice acting is dead for me since 2005

LOL, the silent crowd - as usual for GOG conferences - made me pause for a moment too. It's still way, way better but staged overtly enthusiastic audience. I suppose these people are GOG staff who chatted with him already.

what's with Chains of Satinav?
The Deponia-series is planned as a trilogy.

So I will wait until the third part gets released - and then buy 'em at a 50% discount. (am I right, blueguys?, hmm?, hmm?)

Well, actually the game is developed in Germany by a german company in german, so it shouldn't be a huge problem to provide a german language pack on GOG. As almost every other game from Daedelic has it on GOG already.

And yes I like to play the games from Daedelic in german as well, as they are pretty good in german. But these are the only games I play in german ;P

At least the Soundtrack is supposed to be german :D
A confirmation that german is going to be available is probably going to seal the deal for me.
I've been reading so much good things regarding Daedalic that I finally had to get one of their games.
