I think you are missing something that is hindering your understanding of 40k. IMO (I have only read the books) the overreaching plot is intentionally vague. It was said earlier that the characters are the little people, and the point is that the little people don't get the big picture. It even seems to change when you read from different perspectives. You are partially right but you don't "get it" yet. The setting isn't a universe as much. Its an endless war. Does that make sense?
Again, why must I know the entire universe to state an opinion? I didn't state a fact, or say the old universe had to die out, nor that I want this forced on everyone.

It's like enjoying a theatre for the moviegoing experience while others enjoy the building, and I say we should update the carpet in the building while everyone says i'm ignorant and it should stay as is.

Take a look at some of the new artwork. Something looking a lot like a Genestealer is on the new boxart. Necron's probably not. It would be a stretch for every world a game is set on to be a tomb world.

Aren't the genestealers akin to the flood in that they absorb other races/etc? Also is the new game going to be an RTS or another hird person game like Fire Warrior?

(Serious questions here.....answers would be appreciated if you can help me out here.)

WTF? No. Genestealers as the name implies implant other races with their DNA, usually called a Genestealers kiss. The victim retains no memory of the event but a psychic link is made that causes their sex drive to tripple and they are compelled to have children. The offspring will be a Genestealer hybrid. This is how Genestealers infiltrate Imperial worlds. When the world is ready for conquest the Genestealer patriarch sends a psychic dinner bell to the Tyrannid fleet.

Could also be some chaos demon, since the only confirmed foes are orks and chaos.

Edit: looking closer though it really looks more like a tyranid.

Jesus Christ on a French nude beach! In less than one hour you've managed not only to hijack the thread with your jackassery, but fill six pages with it!

The Emperor of Mankind was the culmination of all earthly "shamans" who basically killed themselves all at once and took themselves out of the cycle of reincarnation because they sensed the coming of Chaos, and they new the only way to come close to beating it was to put all their power into one immortal body. And so the Emperor was born in the part of Earth which we know as ancient Turkey, and saw Man rise and fall several times over the course of a few tens of thousands of years. He learned all the science and technology that was available, including cloning, which he used to make the twenty Space Marine Primarchs. He also used his knowledge to create the Golden Throne, which was originally intended to be used as a focal point for him to "guide" Man's FTL travel tech, but after being critically wounded by Horus, it also became a life-support machine. Now, any human with moderate psychic ability is taken in and basically sacrificed to the Emperor in this gigantic spherical building, the inside of which looks like a modern-day planetarium. I say "sacrificed" because what happens is that these psykers just sit around this transmitter thingy and focus all their power into "boosting" the Emperor's. I've forgotten whether they're kept alive by being fed intravenously or not, but once they're sat down in there, they stay until their brains fry or their bodies die.


Speaking of brains frying, I'm having trouble placing an order for the CE on THQ's Store. Every time I click "Continue" after entering my Billing and Shipping addresses, I get sent to a "Cannot Display Page" page, no matter what browser I'm using. THQ support says it's because cookies are disabled, but they're wrong because "Accept all cookies" has always been on, and I even double checked before I clicked "Send" on the reply that told them they were wrong.

The last line was insulting to me, could you tone it down?

I have no problem with your opinion, I was just trying to explain the concept. There will always be war so why does it matter if the setting of the war changes or not? So there isn't really anything wrong with your opinion, but there isn't anything wrong with NOT changing it because the point is it doesn't matter. I'm not trying to fanboy flame you. I'm just trying to educate you a little. ;)

1. It's not jackarseery. I voices my opinion and stayed ontopic about the warhammer universe as best I could.

2. I read about the psykers being "sacrificed" and thought it meant they feed them to him or their mentalities at least. Is it that way or the way you describe?

3. Did you contact support yet? I'd try a different browser possibly

Sounds like it. Btw are daemons in Warhammer the mythical beings in our mythos or moreso advanced beings like the ones from Star Trek: DS9?

This is an incoherence.
And I knew that story from the Kraken fleet, but in the old W40K editions they said that the Squat lived all over the center of the galaxy. Too much space for a massive extermination.. The only reason why Game Workshop decided to quit them was only this: They didn't sell enough.
In old White Dwarf magazines I read that the Squat were human colonizers who evolved to short humanoids because of the weak radiation of the stars from the center of the galaxy (!!!!!!!!!!!!!). They were not exactly xenos.

Because I am not worthy of being talked to in a nicer manner. Sounds a bit hypocritical.

And I said they were sort of like the flood in that they infect and take over other species eventually, not in how they both do it or why.
