As soon as i saw it to pre order there was no alternative but to hit the button. Excelllant extras thanks guys and i hope you sell it in loads.
Hello Guys,

indeed this is a wonderful offering with all those goodies included, not to mention the game itself. One minor remark though: I allready own all those games to choose from as added bonus, thanks to my generous funding to the GOG-foundation. Any chance of doing something extra-special for some ûber-loyal customer??

HINT... HINT

PS. already bought 2 copies of the Whitcher 1, but I would like to have a version on my harddisk as well and I have been waiting for all eternity for the release of the Quest for Glory -series...

It doesn't make sense from a business perspective in so far as the brand awareness they've been building with GOG since the start has been all about providing older games for a low price. To take a silly example, while Coca Cola also selling Pepsi might seem the best of two worlds if you're really into soft drinks, it's going to take some explaining each time you encounter a new customer. Indeed, in GOG's case it's worse because the name itself has now been rendered partially misleading or perhaps (depending on the future of the site) even obsolete.

I would have been perfectly fine with a companion site ("Good New Games"?) build around the exact same layout, payment options, membership structure, shelf page etc. with the explicit goal of selling CD Projekt's own new (and new-ish) games. Perhaps that will indeed follow in the future - at which point any Witcher 2 purchases would be carried over to the new site - but as of yet that's obviously pure speculation.
Just downloaded the pre order file and the music tracks are truelly fantastic. Whoever the people who produced the music all i can say Fantastic job thank you.
Will wait until system requirements are available before I pre-order. I have a sneaking suspision I will meet them, but I want to make sure.
While it's a nice offer considering the €16 digital voucher for Gog.com compensating for the ridiculous price difference between the US and EU versions, I won't hop on this bandwagon yet.
I don't pay €50,- for any single game, no matter how good it is. €30,- is the absolute maximum I'm willing to fork over for an exceptional game which has gone through a plethora of patches to weed out the bugs. The Witcher 1( even the Enhanced version) was quite buggy at first. Instead I have bought the Platinum edition for €15,-
I applaud the CDProjekt team for having the guts to release such a high profile game as their debut. the decision to make the 1.5 Version DRM-free won me over to buy it at the counter.
I hope that the 2nd game will have sortable containers as well as sortable inventory. The offload area at the barkeeper was a pain to organize. Another thing that was a bit of a letdown in Witcher 1 was the lack of any emotions on the faces of random NPC's. I am sure that the Witcher 2 has made huge strides of progress. I'm waiting until this one drops a bit in price.
You people are awesome. I wish more companies adopted you business model. I've only bought three games until now on GOG (though I have 11 others on my wishlist), but you've convinced me that I should continue to vote for you with my wallet. You are now officially better than Steam -- in my eyes, at least. :D

lackoo1111: the Impulse version also DRM free
Aside from, y'know, the whole Impulse client thing that people around here get annoyed about.

You want them to work on a WHOLE NEW SITE just for one(maybe two with Witcher 1) games? When they can't even manage ONE site 100% effectively?

And why you dislike them putting one new game here? It's not like it ruins the old intentions or image of the site.....it's just 1 game after all.
Incredible. Given i would spend those 16 dollars on GOG games anyhow, all things considered, this will be cheaper then the stuff they put out for pre-order in the local game store...
Ahahaha! GOG! The bonus soundtrack goes right up my alley! I love it!

Tracks 1 and 2 however, seem to have been cut off. Don't know if it was a download issue or if the tracks are simply just like that, but I really enjoy the music and can't wait to have all the mp3s on May.
I still wish they'd offer a collector hybrid edition where you get the premium stuff digital but can get the extra CE phsycial stuff mailed to you....or maybe even a link to where you can buy the physical extras in a set or something. I want to preorder here but also want all that physical swag. What to do. :\

And lol don't say buy both cuz i'm a poorfag.

Reading is hard eh?

"Gamers who have already purchased all of these titles from GOG.com's library will be offered an alternative title instead."
You know guys, I changed my mind. I mean the CE edition is really nice, real nice to look at, but I can't buy both the digital and CE, and GOG digital one is a seriously great deal.

Buy the collector's edition, and then sell the game DVDs and other unnecessary stuffs on ebay or craigslist. At least you get some money back that way.
