„Lay stone upon stone, pile foe upon foe, ‘til thy Builder's work is done.“

Welcome, taffers!

I have a simple job planned for this evening. In celebration of 15 glorious years of „Thief - The Dark Project“, I‘ll be giving away one of my prized GOG keys*.

1. The prize for this giveaway is a GOG copy of "The Witcher - Enhanced Edition".
2. How to win: Play "Thief - The Dark Project", stack some crates and post a screenshot of your finest creation in crate-stacking. Other in-game items can of course also be incorporated into your constructional masterwork. The single most compelling architectonic accomplishment shall be awarded the above-mentioned GOG-key. (Of course, I can't prevent you from firing up DromEd to, shall we say, boost your crate-stacking-prowess. But I certainly would discourage you from doing so, since that would involve, you know, not actually playing the game. And where's the fun in that???)
3. No reputation or registration date requirements.
4. Trading and regifting are allowed. Multiple entries are allowed.
5. Deadline is Friday, December 6th 8.00 pm Central European Time.
(This is my first giveaway. If I made any mistakes, feel free to complain away!)

May the Hammer fall on the unrighteous.

*(that I couldn't get rid of in the Classifieds-thread...)

Two hours and no replies? I suppose a lot of us must own The Witcher by this point.

Including myself, so +1 but not in; good luck finding a crate-stacker worthy of your key, and I like the avatar.

You might be right, i just won The Witcher yesterday in a contest where I was the only contestant, and i was the only contestant over 4 days, but this contest has the added requirement of owning Thief, which cuts the eligible contestants down a bit. But +1 for the giveaway.
Thanks, guys! I appreciate the spirit! I may be battling some impossible odds with this giveaway since pretty much everyone and their pet goldfish own a copy of The Witcher (and a spare key to boot), but hey, why not give it a try!

Not owning Thief (a fate I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy!) shouldn't deter you from some crate-stacking goodness! Just head over to the TTLG-forums. You'll find a download to the original Demo of Thief 1, which already comes equipped with the necessary patches to make it work on modern systems.

Happy stacking!

The contest is over and no entries were made. That's sad to see...

I guess I'll hold onto my Witcher-key for the time being. I'll just give out this nifty Thief key instead! (see attached)

Sorry to make this so late, but I thought it might cheer you up, at least a bit. Still wouldn't have been in for the key, but I wanted to mark the occasion appropriately. Also, it's Thief 2, for lack of 1; to quote a famous US Brigadier-General, nuts!

So, I decided to empty Lady Rumford's cellars of any and all boxes, then proceeded to drag the price of her estate down a notch ;)

Also, I always prefer the front entrance, much to the chagrin of the guards there :P

Now THAT is impressive! I gotta go back to those games one of these days though I still despise that damn prison level; too easy to get lost.
Perhaps a witcher stacking contest with a prize of thief might have worked better?! O_o

The Deus Ex rule should certainly apply to Thief ;)
Yeah, I vaguely remember the prison to be quite annoying, but whenever that happens (like in, say, Amnesia) I just fire up Half-Life's "On a Rail" to remind myself just how frustrating things can get :P

If I remember correctly, picking up was easy but placement could be a pain, how long did that take you?

Under 2 hours. The big chore was getting them out of the cellars, with all those tight winding corridors.
