Thank you for the efforts you are putting into it :)

liquidsnakehpks: meh i was hoping for a better story expansion than mindless zombie based one , will pass :X sick of the undead content in games recently.
The zombies are actually only in a small part of the add-on, far from being the focus like they were in AW.
INB4: Why is this game getting an Expansion and not Half Life 2 :(

skeletonbow: Ok, here are some half serious half kidding questions just for laughs...

- Any chances of adding support for 4k/8k displays in the future or multi-monitor setups like Eyefinity?
Our updates on Steam already allow for Eyefinity :) We spent a long time in this area, so as soon as the updates land on GoG you can give them a whirl!

I'd love to! We'll look into it as soon as one of us can get our hands on a dev kit.

Hahaha, that's just awesome. I'm going to have to buy some adaptor cables so I can hook up my setup full blown triplehead then. :)

What would be funny is if Postal 2 is still getting updates and enhancements in 2020 and selling big enough to keep the hamster wheel turning and churning while the AAA games of the day come and go like yesterday's newspaper. LOL Who knows perhaps you'll be updating the game with support for those 3D holographic water-mist displays or something by then. :oP

Licurg: Steam only... ???? MOTHERFUCKERS !!!!
RWS have had some bad experiences with gOg, even called it a "battle to allow us to patch our games".
Nah, there was an issue with e-mails getting lost both end which lead to an misunderstanding (in fact, we ended up changing our email URL from runningwithscissors.com to gopostal.com as a result), and I made a flippant comment somewhere that got blown out of proportion.

Truth is GoG are very diligent and easy to work with, and are very supportive to us and even build the installers for us (this is above and beyond). Any delays for these updates are down to us and not them.

We'll work now to keep any further updates in line, once the patch hits GoG (should not be long now!)

every time i try to runaway from postal 2 you guys drag me back damn you :D , i feel happy you have been supporting postal games for so long.

now help us complete the postal collection by putting postal 3 on a huge sale during the summer sales and bring it on gog , bad game or good game , the collection must be completed
PIII is totally out of our hands man, and I doubt Akella would want to strip out the horrible DRM activation they put into it for GoG.

I saw the trailer for Postal 3 earlier this year (and posted a thread on GOG about it) and thought it looked obnoxiously awesome and hilarious and I was excited about it because I hadn't even heard of it before. I was "schooled" shortly afterword about how terrible the game was, buggy, not fun, etc. by a multitude of people complete with links to Youtube videos demonstrating how terrible it was. It really did look embarrassingly bad too, but I still wanted to see it myself first hand. A friend of mine who had the game brought his PC over for a gaming night one night and I got to check out Postal 3 and play it for several hours. I had to admit that it was pretty crappy although it was funny too, but not a well made or polished game by any stretch of the imagination. It was not as buggy as in some of the videos I saw online though so I can only guess they patched it a bit. After playing it though I could see how people would be disappointed in having bought it. A part of me would still like to see the whole game just to see if there is anything genuinely exciting beyond what the trailer showed, but not bad enough to pay more than maybe $1 or so for it in a junkyard sale or something. :)

Incidentally, I heard that the Postal 2 patch that we are all patiently awaiting from RWS above contains a content patch where you can find a junkyard and in the junkyard amongst the garbage is a copy of Postal III which you can unlock an achievement or something by pissing on it. That made me laugh my ass off. F'ing hilarious! Plus RWS' web page for Postal III basically says on it (or used to anyway) how bad the game was and tells people to not buy it. Now that is some funny ass shit right there! LOL It's all a big part of my enthusiasm for wanting to try this new version of Postal 2 too.

I think what they did here, is took the Postal series fans enthusiasm for the series and disappointment with the outsourced Postal 3D and created the new stuff for Postal 2 as an answer to that to say "here's something much better!". Hopefully in addition to all of the cool new Postal 2 content they end up developing a new sequel in-house at some point and take things to a whole new level of brutal too. :) Postal 4? Who knows... :)

This is just epic: ;oP

RWS Explanation
Postal III didn’t turn out how RWS had hoped.

The original plan was for RWS to do game design and style art, with Akella responsible for production (coding, game art, audio, playtesting, etc.). The project started out great with both groups working close together, then the first blow came with the Russian economy taking a hit and Akella lost their A development team and the project got moved to Team B. Looking back now we should have canceled the project then as there was no way the new less qualified team was going to be able to deliver a “A” quality game. The next big blow was when Akella started chopping away at our design (to accommodate the limited skills of the 2nd string team), this only got worse over time. From eliminating gameplay to single player only to PC only and scratching consoles. The hole kept getting deeper and the shit shovel was in full force. We didn't even get to see or play the game in the last 12 months of development, then the worst thing happened. Akella was desperate for money trying to prevent going out of business. They made the fatal decision to ‘wrap it up’ at alpha and call it done, releasing it to the Russian market, then on Steam for the international market.

Akella retains control of all the source code and assets for Postal III which they will not share with us or the modding community, so we are unable to fix Postal III ourselves, leaving a flawed and unfinished game. RWS also do not profit from Postal III sales and we stopped selling it ourselves the moment it was clear we would be unable to support the product. "
