Just spent two hours modding Morrowind. It's pretty amazing to see how much the fans have changed it over the years.

I mixed and matched the following guides:

http://morrowind2009.wordpress.com/
http://www.konsolentreff.net/showthread.php?tid=11256&page=1 (German)
http://btb2.free.fr/morrowind.html

The first two links are especially helpful.

Basically, there are three categories for graphics mods:

- The big landscape and texture replacers (Vality's, Vurt's, Morrowind Visual Pack V3...)
- Dozens of smaller texture replacers dealing with faces, weapons, bottles, and all that stuff
- The Morrowind Graphics Extender, which has loads of settings and can be outfitted with a variety of shaders for things like HDR lighting and bloom

O_o

You weren't kidding about the "two hours to mod" thing....

You'd think someone would have compiled most of them into a full blown mod-zip or something...
Some Lost Planet 2 screenshots from playing with friends recently.

It really is a pain in the ass, especially because there's quite a bit of troubleshooting to do, once all the mods have been installed. In the end, it's worth it, but all this messing around with mods is the reason why I haven't revisited Oblivion yet, despite planning to do so for quite a while.
Not even a brick wall could stop me from scoring a goal in Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey 98 (n64). The puck is the glowing disc near the skate of the falling anaheim player in purple.
