bansama: While that's probably true, there's the whole issue of trust. Not saying you would, but some people have been known to sell gifts like that to several people and then have yet another person reclaim it. Naturally everyone else who paid for that gift won't be able to reclaim it; nor will Valve or anyone else be able to help reclaim that money. And is it really worth the risk for the sake of saving $4?

Also if you're that desperate to get rid of your extra copy, you're probably better off just giving it to one of the many people asking for a copy on the Steam forums.

bansama: Word of warning, you can't regift a gift on Steam. Only the original recipient of the extra copy can gift it. So buying it in order to gift it to someone else isn't going to work.
