Am i the only one without a friend that bought it?

Getting slightly annoyed, constantly get douche bags with walkthroughs.

If I get it and it works, I'll play through the co-op with you.

I'll add you too. :)
I'm tempted to try co-op at some point, but seeing as I have no microphone (and zero intention of ever getting one), can someone comment on how playable it is without one?

Quite, actually. There are simple gestures in the game as well as a possibility to mark spots on the screen. Sure it's easier with a mic, but text-based communication combined with above works well

In that case, if anyone is interested in trying a purely text/gesture based communication game of Portal 2, let me know. Timezones willing, we might be able to sort sommat out... (but not right now as I'm off to sleep).
Do your first coop with someone who already completed it, so he can get the Professor Portal achievement. :-)
I want to complete the single player first and I haven't had the game long yet. But I'll definitely be looking to play the coop soonish.
I need someone to complete the fourth chapter onwards on co-op.
Thanks for the adds, played a bit already, if anyone wants to get started,
we still can do that, i just leave the lead to you.
Great that we all came together a bit now.

Bansama:
It's fine trust me. As mentioned before, there is a marker system.
Just hold down F and move your mouse in the direction of the desired function.
You can place a little eye marker a countdown from 3 to "go", etc etc.
This keeps text-communication short and easy.
Pretty good solution i have to admit.
Voice-Chat still should be better, but it's no issue.
Got Portal 2 (thank Detlik) but I get the "It crashes before the main menu" bug.

The pirates have already fixed the problem.

Yep, that's right, if I had pirated it, I'd be playing it already...

DRM affects a legit copy only, once again!
I'm up for some coop sometime. I don't have a mic though. That might be a problem.

How do you know it's a DRM issue and not just something that crackers fixed that had nothing to do with DRM? I'm not saying that it's not a superior version (at least for you) but you might be wrong about it being DRM-related.

On the opposite I personally think that this is one of those games where a mic is a must have. The marker system is fine for the first 2-3 hours but some of the later puzzle requires more complex sequence between the two player and also requires some tight synchronization. It's most probably doable using only text messages but it will be definitely a lot less "comfortable".
