Nevermind. I was browsing the wrong store.

Sounds like what you need is a time machine rather than a store.
I still have my old one, I swear the sound is still better than the digital stuff.

You clearly haven't used a portable vinyl player yet. Sure, having to strap it to your back is a bit awkward but the warmth it adds... mmmmmh. On a more serious note: CD audio is just as digital. You get the *exact* same sound with any uncompressed file format (if it's sampled at 44khz and 16 bit resolution, that is - you can actually get even higher quality than CD audio via uncompressed files).

They call them laptops now and they can also play DVDs...
Seriously, I didn't think anyone still made portable CD players.

The big thing here for me is the playback equipment. My portable CD player has a MUCH better amplifier than my rather expensive digital media player. It can actually drive a full size pair of studio headphones at 20-20,000! The large size allows for this.

True. I'm not into portable mp3 players and smart phones.

Why carry around a laptop just for music? That's too much weight if you plan on doing hours of walking around. And my brain is forever stuck in the early 2000s.

Here, only mentally retarded people use them. I'm not even joking. See a retard, see a CD player.

I'm guessing because they are too retarded to use a smart phone or iPod? I mean, like it's too hard for them?

Easy friend, some of us live in dead zones! :D Of course that still means we could use an iPod, so your argument stands.

I'm just trying to figure out why realkman666 said only retards use portable CD players in Canada.

I take it you've never had a car with a turntable in it. I'm still trying to figure out how it took so long for CDs to get anti-skip technology when they had turntables in cars decades earlier.

Through scientific observation.
