Hello, I really love this game I've been playing when I was young. This game brings so many memories back. Ultim@te race pro was the first game introducing some kind of dynamic lights in game history. The game supported Glide and PowerVR cards. The latest version is 1.5 which can be still found on some websites.

There are many people searching to make the game work on Windows Vista-7 machines, but there's no luck. I've been trying to port it in some way but I had no luck. It seem that the game is written in Visual C (I hope I'm not wrong), but it's for 16 bit systems... (Or that's what it says sometimes when it crashes). In windows Vista-7 the game crashes instantly after running.

As I've seen that you allready ported P.O.D. to windows Vista-7, a game from the same time of Ultim@te Race Pro, maybe it would be possible to port the game to GOG.com. The only drawback is that the game was made by the french game studio called Kalisto, which doesn't exist anymore. Luckily iv'e found the developers of the game in Facebook (See credits of the game to find the names), but they have never responded to me :(

Maybe I can help in some way, I own the original CD and I have all the latest patches and tools to extract files from data.bin file from the game.

I hople somebody from GOG.com can respond me if it's possible. Greetings! =)
Would be awesome and I hope that threre will be a chance to see Ultim@te Race Pro on GOG. The game is playable with this patch under Win 7.

Here the Gamespot review. Especially the multiplayer mode was awesome due the fair gameplay.
Voted for it in the wishlist

It runs. perfect in Win7 bot x86 and x64. But multiplayer wont work from win2000 - win7 x64. Only win98.

But when i choose multiplayer (TCP/IP) NOTHING happens, unlike when I tried on WIN98 there's a box you hit OK and bam youre in the lobby.

Problem description: Get to the MP lobby when running it on WIN7.

I have tried all VM's there are. But i cant get the Multiplayer part up and running in VM. So therefore, my biggest wish would be that someone could dig into the game, and sort out WHY it is not making it to the LOBBY when choosing MP. Please write me if you need anything so this can be sort out. lazerkid@hotmail.dk

I have tried "Virtual Serial Port" and it works ( http://goo.gl/8IOaTM ). If you want to play over Ethernet use "Serial Over Ethernet" ( http://goo.gl/K8kqzUYou ). Alternatively you can search for "Virtual Modem" in Google.
