The Nelson guy was being really aggressive and disrespectful. I don't think AngryJoe expected this and it shocked him to a point he couldn't really defend himself. This Major Nelson guy was using drill sergeant tactics on AngryJoe.

I'm proud of Joe for being as respectful and polite as he was. Yeah he got outmaneuvered, but this is valuable practice for the next interview he does.
Considering Microsofts backflip a couple days later it was actually AngryJoe doing the owning.

I do remember a few moments where it looked like Nelson wanted to deck him, it's a hilarious interview.

AngryJoe owning the hell out of MajorNelson

Yeah, American culture which comes from British culture, respects those who are respectful and polite. But from my warrior culture's point of view(imagine something similar to Klingon culture from Star Trek), I just see OWNED. Yes, this interview has most likely made AngryJoe stronger. But please don't think, I don't respect AngryJoe. AngryJoe is stlll a very respectable person in eyes. Like the Marines from the SULACO, AngryJoe was simply unprepared for what awaited him... And because Major Nelson disrespected AngryJoe, I'm never buying an XBOX ONE.

Angry Joe didn't get "owned", the MS guy just cut the interview because he realized anyone with a halfway workign brain could see through their BS and as long as Joe kept a polite attitude there was nothing he could do. If anyone got owned it's the MS guy because he couldn't aswer the most simple questions properly and instead had to give "political" answer.

He did get OWNED but it was definitely a Pyrrhic victory for the MS guy because now many people are angry or hate the MS guy for being so aggressive, disrespectful and being too much of a politician.
Didn't Geoff Keighly or however his surname is spelled once openly make make fun of Joe in an interview in front of other journalists (albiet subtly)?
If so then that explains how he stayed so polite (he been through same type of crap before I mean)
Shame, or shame not. There is no owned.

Did this person have a reason make fun of Joe?
I'm sorry, but when an interviewer pushes an interviewee to be as defensive and super aggressive as Joe got Major Nelson, that's when the interviewer OWNS the interviewee. It wasn't Joe that cut the interview short, it was Major Nelson because he couldn't more about the specifics aside from the mysterious cloud requiring an always-online internet connection... which apparently isn't true, or they are changing a very core part of their console by not requiring the connection anymore.

It was brief clips in the Most Disappointing 2012 video (might have full I haven't looked) but I think Joe was giving him questions he couldn't answer
The dude is also quite the dick as the Doritos/Halo/Mountain Dew thing helped show

That sucks. Too many douchebags in the world of gaming... I hope one day, Joe stops being so respectful and polite gives these motherfuckers a taste of their own medicine.

Joe won that interview. Taking away the other's microphone and changing the subject of every question with "the future!" or "the cloud!" instead of answering them, isn't "owning" anyone, it's showing the world how desperate you are.
I thought Joe did a pretty good job, asking some pointed questions and basically making Nelson look like the corporate schill that he is.

But his "the future!' and "the cloud" worked. Major Nelson messed things up for AngryJoe.

Lets stop arguing about who owned who. This is something cultural.
