the ad on the left was run in the United States, the ad on the right was run in Poland, besides the language, what is the difference between the two ads?
MUST PROMOTE DIVERSITY
EVEN IF IT'S PHOTOSHOPPED
Dunno which is more racist, not having a black guy in some ads, or having to have one in every ad.
Poland != United States.
Race attitudes are quite different around here. Also, people of color are not quite common around here.

Question is, which one IS 'shopped? The polish one looks more fake to me, but I may of course be wrong.
Also the "MOST 2009" button does not exist on the US version, the rest seem to be the same ("Informacje" -> Information -> "About", "Funkcje" -> Functions -> "Capabilities", "Produkty" -> "Products")

The Polish one. Look at the hands on the middle man and the angle of his neck in the Polish ad. That is NOT a natural angle.

I don't think Poland has a need to focus on diversity. Hence the shop. But it does seem a little strange why they edited a white guy OVER a black guy. This seems far more controversial tho.

Actually, what I found most striking was how much longer the Polish text is... is the Polish language really that verbose?

It's a microsoft add, both are fake. In both adds the robots where shopped out and random smiley people shopped in.

For the most part it's about the same as English except when trying to translate words like "empower". Sometimes Polish can be LESS verbose than English but it depends whether we are talking about conversational or technical standpoints.
Did Weclock just make up that first picture?
The photoshopping is very noticeable.
Tried to locate that webpage, came up with 404, though difficult to see what comes after default...

It's real, which makes it even more hilarious:

default.mspx - just add "/poland" at the appropriate place in the address to the US version.

It made it onto engadget as well, which has links to the sites.

Good grief.
The head is the wrong size, wrong angle, and they didn't change his hands!
I've done far better work, so I can only assume they got someone to knock it up in their lunch hour.

Besides, they change the "african", but the asian is alright?
