I've got $5 to spend on Gog, and I'd like to use it on an adventure game, what are some good ones that are classics or just some that you've played that are really awesome?

I have Myst already.

Bestest ever are truly Gabriel knight 1 or Broken sword 1.
I would recommend Broken.

Edit: always one of my favourite games ever.

If you had $5 more, I could recommend one of the Wadjet Eye games such as Resonance, Gemini Rue, or Primordia :D.

Haven't played the Blackwell series yet so I don't know how that one compares to the ones I listed above.

But at least Gabriel has Tim Curry. Couple days ago my childhood traumas were acting up again and there was Tim Curry in "IT", you know, that clown.. ^^

While Tim Curry is quite awesome, I am not sure I find his Southern accent convincing :D (IIRC, he played Gabriel Knight...)

Voice of Gabriel Knight. *plays the game* So he was an actor.. Well what do you know. That slow talking bastard. ^^

Edit: but I just mostly like femshep voice actor. =)
