Please note: This is not a spam message about forcing you to vote for this game ect, this is a legitimate plea for said reasons below.

Myth II Soublighter has been around for many years. 13 to be exact since its first release in 1997 with Myth the fallen lords. In that time Bungie shut down the online gaming servers in 2001, and the community has been self supporting ever since with its own servers. To Give you an idea the recent release of the 1.8 Update includes zooming out features, better rendered terrain and units as well as a whole new multiplayer objective type called king of the map. There is even a beta for the I.Pad and supports all O.S software.

Now as it stands the only way to get your hands on a copy of myth is to either buy it online second hand if you are lucky or cough cough the shady guy in the alley with his stall. Steam, Bungie and pretty much all support from this game doesn't exist.

The Online community as of this year is around 30-50 players on average during the peak tournament season which is right now. Sadly however there is no fresh new players coming in because there is no way to advertise or encourage new players to get involved other than word of mouth and Facebook communities ect.
It would be a shame to put this game to the waste and let the community I have been a part of since 2008 become yet another empty lobby room. Considering the sheer amount of free modifications and campaigns added including a free port of the first game you can play on the Myth II program.

My ask for you is to at least vote here, and keep my community alive for I fear in a few more years there will be barley enough players to form enough teams for our tournaments. There used to be around 80 players when I first started to give you an idea of the gravity of the situation. Also its a great game so to kill two birds and one post I encourage those who do not know this game to check it out.

Please vote for myth 2 on the wishlist I thank you with a strong handshake

(There are actually two entries for it, but this one has more votes.)
Bungie lost the rights to Myth (as well as Oni) to Take Two years ago, so it's up to them. Already voted for the games long before though. :)

Voted. Even though I don't really like RTS games, no game with such devoted fans deserves to be forgotten.
In the immortal words of Dan Quayle, "Don't forget to vot!"
I don't play multiplayer, but I love Myth, and I've already voted for it. So all I can do is say, keep up the good work.
Even though I have never played the games, helping a community this dedicated is a worthy cause that people should support.

+1 for the game.
I played that little gem when I was younger.
I was inspired by the narration, but I never got into the multiplayer though.
The narration of the single player campaign was dramatic you really believed you where fighting against insurmountable odds. Winning was always something truly awesome.
I don't know if this is just nostaliga speaking but I really would like to experience that narration/vibe/music and gameplay anew.

It's pretty fucking great, and I say that as someone who got into it around '08. It really does have that vibe.

Also, I have played online Myth before, once with a friend. He'd never played before, but he did really well for somone who never played before and who didn't really know how things worked (I'm not a very good teacher, honestly).
I played the daylights out of this game in multiplayer way back when. Lots of fun. Especially loved all the mods and custom maps.

I even played a Clue mod (the murder mystery). Good times.
My father is notorious for not understanding the concept that computer components and software go down in price rather dramatically as years pass. More than a few times I've gone over to his house to find a box of computer parts he'd picked up at a garage sale and him positively glowing, saying things like: "look, this still has the price tag on it... $59.99! I paid five bucks for the whole box!" Most often it'd be a fifteen year old monitor or something else relatively worthless. He has come home with boxes of old games though, and I know for a fact he got a complete big box of the original Myth: The Fallen Lords in pretty good condition. I've often thought that somewhere out there is someone who'd love to have that in their collection... it was and is a fantastic game and series. I hope the games come here soon.

LOL my mother is like that too... pretty funny isn't it? Except when they find something actually of value... then I feel a little dumb for doubting her XD
