I am a little bit annoyed by the stunt, but if it works I will forgive them at lightning speed.

And none of it has anything to do with the community, which I have very much enjoyed lately. If anything the stunt probably reminds people of why the no DRM policy of GOG is such a good thing, as I had all my games whether it was a stunt or not.

KavazovAngel: I don't know who left or who will leave, but there was some talks these few days about boycotting GOG and stuff.
By whom? I haven't seen a single of the regulars (at least the ones I know) talking seriously about boycotting GOG. Thinking twice about buying stuff, yes, but boycotting? No.
Seriously, is it lag or is this forum really boycotting me?

michaelleung: Sup dude. I'm still here. I'll probably stick around here and bansama's forums if people still want to use that.
+ 1

I've enjoyed hanging out at didimatic these past few days. I think I'll keep going there. Here too, of course.

DrIstvaan: I don't know how many of the old regulars are missing yet, but I sure know there are certain members who I'd rather not see coming here/returning until they can keep themselves civilized (those users who not only stayed way too upset about this "stunt" /which, in itself, wouldn't be a serious problem/, but also attack and belittle others who don't agree with them).

OmegaX: Actually I've seen a lot more of attacking and belittling of other's opinions from the ones that are defending GOG. It reminds me of the Steam forums.
Yeah, not a single bit of rose tinted glasses there..,

Can't remember right now, but I'm pretty sure there were some talks about it. Maybe nothing serious, but still...

Anyway, most are coming back, that's a good thing. I do feel bad for akwater, though.

HOU-LEEE-SHIT
I'm still here, if any one cares. I still don't know if I'm liked by this community or not.

No offense intended to akwater, but that was an incredibly stupid thing to do. People on the financial side of the gaming business were well aware that there really wasn't anything wrong with GOG or CDP (the prank was pretty much ruined by a post on a financial website by a CDP exec). Even some minor research would have told him that before screwing with that kind of cash. I do feel bad that he went through all that, but, frankly, I mostly feel bad because he probably feels like an idiot for doing it.
avatar
cogadh: Boycotting GOG at all over this is just stupid, all you will end up doing is denying yourself the chance to legitimately own and play these games again. I honestly find the whole butt-hurt nerd rage over this event completely laughable, much funnier than the actual prank was.
avatar
Kingoftherings: Agreed.
I probably only found it funny because I backed my games up. But still, all the people getting upset are overreacting.
hahahah I feel the same way
Unless the GOG team do stupid things on a daily basis, I'll stay here. I hope didimatic stay alive, even if GOG returned.

I'm still around, if I count as a semi-regular. Only post here though, don't really have time to go on IRC ever and wasn't aware of the didimatic forums previously.

Wishbone: Indeed. All the worst personal attacks I've seen seem to be perpetrated by the rabid fanboys.
I've not had the "pleasure" to see THOSE attacks, but I've seen [url=http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/welcome_to_the_brand_new_gog_com/post127]posts of an anonymous, once-member user, and Anjohl's return, which aren't in the same category as the polite opinions of some others who are appalled by the stunt.
Anyway, it's good to know the majority of the users here are the same frienldy group as before ;-).
