I would really like to see Z or ZED from Bitmap Brothers and the rest of the catalog brought to GOG. "Z" is so fun, I've played the German and later the English version for years, it is hilarious and addictive. You guys can make this work with XP, Vista and WIN 7. I know you can!!!! :-)
YES. I remember my uncle bringing that over when I was a wee lad. I compared it to Command & Conquer and was shocked at the idea that engineers could fight back! :P
Man, Bitmap Brothers...

now there's a name I respect
I've only played the demo of Z, which was I think impossible to beat, but the open cinematic it had was hilarious. I've always wanted to try the whole game.
Bring GODS here on GOG.com, and I think you have fully accomplished your mission of selling retrogaming masterpieces to a new audience :-P

(Oh, and don't forget Xenon 2 - The Megablast, too!)
I wonder, why noone has mentionen this yet :)

Has anyone actually got Z to run on XP and above on any setting/dosbox etc. I friggin love that game but have never had luck getting it to work.

You have to love the kind words of encouragement from your soldiers.

"YOU SUCK!!"

"YOUR'E GUNNA LOSE!!"

Yea I got it to work an my old XP machine. I remember running it on dosBOX but it was a pain to get going for some reason.
I couldn't imagine selling Z on it's own even for $5.99. More likely if GOG ever did a deal with the Bitmaps they would be collections. I don't want to see them here unless it's the Amiga versions though. Seriously the Dos version of Xenon 2 is an abomination.

You can download this compilation - dosbox integrated and ready to play:

You sure that's legal? Last time I checked the Bitmap Brothers still exist and still own their old IP's.
I looks like Popinjay owns the game but has problems running it. By downloading this compilation he will be able to run the game he already owns.

I have it running with an XP installer made by a dude named Antares. It's for Z95 (Windows 95 version).

edit: I'd like to see some Chaos Engine here.

It's still not a good idea to post links to abandonware here.

What's wrong with PC Xenon 2? I played it like crazy, my all time favourite space shooter.
