Well, it's out as of today, I picked up my copy bundled with the Sports game and the Eyetoy, a Navigator (They are selling out fast, similar to the nunchuck shortage when the Wii came out) and the charging dock. First impressions:
- The Eyetoy setup painlessly. When you jump from game to game, it forces you to calibrate it by moving the controller to your shoulder, your side, then your waist. It doesn't seem like a hassle once you get used to it.
- So far, using the Eyetoy for the sensor seems to be the smartest thing Sony could have done. The accuracy of all the motions are superb, and so far I haven't done anything that could be misconstrued by the game as another motion.
- The Archery game is the biggest example of accuracy, I was able to nock arrows and find the target almost as fast as it takes to mouse look to a target on the PC.
Of course, this is after only 2 hours and with one game, so there is still a lot left to be seen in terms of third party games and support.
Anyone else have one or plan on picking one up?
