I just bought my first GOG today!! So I want to celebrate by giving one away!

That was the first GOG I've bought, but it was not my first GOG. I already had three! Thats because the GOG community Rocks! I won two GOGs in contests, and out of the blue I was gifted one. Wow! It's made my heart smile. There really are cool people out here in the internetz :~)

So in the spirit of paying it forward, it's my turn to make someones heart smile. So here's a contest for a $9.99 GOG. There is one winner. However, at the winners discretion, they can decide to take a $5.99 GOG instead. If they so choose, then there will be a second person who will win a $5.99 GOG. To be clear: Winner can choose a $9.99 GOG. Or they can choose a $5.99 GOG so that a second person can also win a $5.99 GOG.

The game will be based on stoicsentry's epic yes/no contests.

RULES

It's a yes/no contest. I think of something. You guess what I'm thinking. To start a round, I'll give you a clue. Each contestant then makes one guess and can ask one question. I can only answer these questions with a yes or a no (though I may actually answer Perhaps or Maybe when both yes and no apply). Once every contestant has made a guess and has asked a question; then I will post answers to all questions. I will also post another clue. Then round two begins. Every contestant can then make another guess and ask another question. So each player makes one guess and asks one question each round. We'll go up to five rounds for each questions. So one question equals five rounds. We play as many questions as it takes to get a winner.

All players earn 3 points for answering correctly the first round. 2 points for a correct answer in the 2nd round. 1 point for a correct answer in rounds 3-5. I won't tell you if your guess is correct until the end of round 5. So its up to you if you want to make new guesses each round, or stick with one you think is correct. So you can repeat your guesses, or make different guesses each round. For Every round that you have a correct guess, you will win that rounds points (3 points for being correct in the 1st round, 2 points for 2nd round, 1 point for rounds 3, 4, and/or 5).

First player to X points wins. (X to be determined by number of players)

Any questions?

The game has already begun: no new contestants are eligible.

I'll try :-D
Cool :~) Good luck!
Sounds interesting. I'll join in.
Welcome and Good Luck :~)
Rules updated! one half hour to go! Nows your chance!

If we don't get at least four players then we're gonna have to wait till we do.

Hmmm I didn't want people to have to wait all day to play. But its not much fun if there aren't enough players. We need at least four but more would be better. So what do you think tarangwydion and Player_01? Should we extend the time a couple hours or so? Would you still be available to play?
Maybe you should post in a few other 'hot' threads, advertise some...when people hear the word free, they should come running...I'm not sure if I'll play yet...let you know if I decide I will.
I'm bad with these kinds of games, but alright I'll give it a shot!
Thanks for the tips KO. I hope you decide to join us!

Cool, welcome aboard Zenphic!

WhiteElk: Cool, welcome aboard Zenphic!
Awesome! If the game does start in 30 minutes, I better go shower quickly. Almost bed time over here!
With Gamerager that makes 4. Awesome.

GameRager: I'll enter...and hopefully I can fathom how to play as we go along(It's like 20 questions it seems......but not totally.)
I think it so LoL. I think of something and you try to guess. You can ask questions to help narrow your guess.

example:

I give this clue: People use this to learn.

Players ask questions like... "Is it an institution?" "Is it a material?" "Is it alive?"

I answer with Yes or No. Or in some cases, I might say something like "Perhaps" or "Maybe" as applicable.

After much deep thought and consideration :-] ...I've decided what have I got to loose? Maybe it will be fun to fire up the old neurons, I'll play, though I haven't played a game like this in years.

GameRager: The confusing part of the op post(well one of em') is that you state a clue and then we guess, and then we can ask questions and then guess.....so that means we can get two guesses, or that our last guess(after getting the answer to our questions) is the only one counted? I am confuzzled. 0.o
I gotta find a better way to word it. Didn't want to get to wordy with it ;~P

One question and one guess, per player, per round. Both should be done in one post.

I'll still try. It is daytime here locally, so that should not be a problem, but I am also at work (yeah, I should be WORKING), so I will check this thread, say for example every 15 minutes or so?
