I haven't tried it yet, but here you can read some fresh opinions :)

thanks, I did see that during a search. But that's for a smart phone.

I'm looking for opinions of others who tried it on a tablet.

I'm planing on picking up a android tablet in the near future and wondering on the performance, etc.
Hm. I am very tempted to give Dosbox Turbo a try. After all, I can ask for a refund within 15 minutes of use if I'm not satisfied.
DosBox Turbo is definitely better than the free one; I've successfully gotten X-Wing Collector's CD running on my Transformer with it, and it even goes pretty smooth. Lack of joystick support in Android means I can't play it even on easy, though. (No, it's not because I'm too old, dammit!)

I'm currently playing through Judgement Rites (using DOSBox Turbo) when I'm not playing Avadon.

Anyone who knows my general dislike for adventure games should be duly impressed that there's one that I actually enjoyed enough to go dust off the CDs in my binder and play. :D

DosBox Turbo is definitely the way to go. I use it all the time on my Droid2 and so far the only game I have tried that is unplayable is Fallout.

Has anyone tried HOMM3? How do the games work without a mouse?

I've used DOSbox Turbo on my Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. It works great (as others have said, better than the numerous free versions), but bare in mind that there is no easy way to change CPU cycle settings for each game, which I've found to be a big issue (especially for Raman Forever...).

As lowyhong said, you can just try it for 15 mins, have a game at the ready, and if you don't like it get a refund, as long as you're quick enough.

Looking at the Transformer specs now, it's really a nice tablet PC. How's word processing like on the Android? I may get a tablet instead of a new laptop to replace my old Acer netbook next year, if it's got a good word processing functionality.

For word processing, its's perfectly adequate, as long as you aren't using the terrible interface for GDocs. An Android tablet is a perfectly good computer replacement except for the fact that it doesn't archive emails (for searching; when you get 250+ emails a day, you need to be able to search through them pretty quickly and using IMAP search s u c k s) and the GDocs implementation is atrocious. If you've cool working locally and then backing up through, say, DropBox, you're good to go with that one, though.

Cool. And just to confirm, all tablets that come with the keyboard also have the touchscreen functionality and ability to personalize your desktop to your fancy right? That latter is what I love most about my HTC. I spent 3 days just sitting around and trying out the various apps and re-arranging widgets when I could have been doing something more productive.

You mentioned you've installed Go Launcher. If that's what you've been using, it's compatible with almost all Android devices. Also bear in mind that an optimized official version of Microsoft Office is supposed to be coming to Android in the next few months.
