Hello GOGers !

With a French mate Guezz, we started an event for Sunday 5th January.
What kind of event ? A fighting tournament ! We found a funny free fighting game for this, which can play online easily, TerrorDrome.

Winners will win some fighting games, a lot of fighting games :-)

You can register for the fight until Thursday 2nd January, after that I will draw the bracket with the help of random.org

You have to win 2 games of 2 rounds each other to win against your opponent. If we're enough fighters, looser's bracket will appear to get a new chance.
I will probably create a private Steam group to help the organization, the Steam chat is a good tool for this I guess. Let me know if you're using Steam to know if it's a good idea.

The prizes are :

- 1x Guilty Gear XX #reload (GOG)
- 1x Guilty Gear Isuka (GOG)
- 1x Street Fighter Alpha 2 (GOG - courtesy of Guezz)
- 1x Ultimate Body Blows (GOG - courtezsy of Guezz)
- 2x Divekick (Steam - courtesy of Guezz)
- 1x Vanguard Princess (GamersGate)

The winner will choose which game he want, after that the second will choose an other, etc...
I personally will play with you, I guess Guezz will too, but I'm not eligible for a prize, I only play for fun :-D

Edit: looks like I wont be able to participate sorry about that 800+ mb is a bit big for my internet limit , if only games like skullgirls or something were part of the tournament too then I would have been able to join,
as I only use internet limit to really install the things I really want to play

I have exactly zero interest in fighting games, so I won't be participating. However, I think this is a fantastic initiative, so excellent idea guys, and a big +1 from me :-)

Ahhh, thank you, after agreeing with you twice in the last month you had me worried! This actually puts me at ease! ;-)

Not in as I tend to like fighting games on gaming systems with appropriate controllers and I don't have one for my computer yet. Have a Happy Holiday and good luck with your tournament!

It's not a problem if you're not very good at fighting games, we choose this game for 2 reasons :

#1 : it's free, don't need to pay

#2 : anybody have training at this game, everyone is beginner, everyone have chance to win

We want to play with people, have fun, laugh, good atmosphere and maybe win a good game ! :-)

Some Guilty Gear incarnation for Dreamcast collects dust somewhere in this room here and that speaks for itself I guess. I'm just not that much into the 2D Beat'em Up genre. Thanks for the giveaway nevertheless! Hope this event'll be a success.
