Actually it downloaded in 2,5 hrs. Game looks fine, but it's so chaotic and I'll try to get into the game more tomorrow.

At the summer cottage behind a slow mobile data connection, so no thanks I guess. :)

Not that this laptop could run the game either, I think. But hey, it is plenty fast to run e.g. Team Fortress 2.

Titanfall does not have a single player campaign.

I didn't say single player, I said story campaign. It does have one, it just happens to also be multiplayer (and irrelevant)

I don't like it. Controlling Titans is dull and the max player count of 12 too low.

Pretty much. Despite the freedom of movement and the Titans it feels very generic to me; I doubt it would have excited me in any way even 5 years ago.

That was sort of my thought. By the time that I'm finished downloading the game, I'd likely be most or all of the way through the 2 days. I hope they have some plan in place for the 80% or more of the world that doesn't have decent internet connections.

Well I guess if I ignore the overhead and assume no other data being passed, then I'd be looking at nearly a day. Which in practice probably is more like a day and a half.

Obviously, it will take longer than that to download as I've rarely, if ever found a server where I'd be able to actually max out the limited bandwidth I have.

What I understand the game will be available for longer. 2 days is the time after installing it, then you have to start the timer and 48 hours start.

Ah, that makes sense, although I'm not sure that I'm interested in downloading a set of files that large for a game that I'm not really that interested in.

But, it's good to hear that they realize that the download time is pretty huge compared with the window for use. I suspect that download caps are a bigger issue for folks, but that's not really something that they can do something about.

Kind of funny... spend 3 days downloading a huge game that you can only play for 2 days that ended a day before it finishes downloading? LOL
