I just consider it purchasing a usb game pad for $15. that sounds fair to me.

If that faux Saturn pad works with Street Fighter IV then I am sold. IMO the Saturn pad is still the finest pad ever made for 2D fighting games. Hell just looking at it has me drooling at the possiblity of using it with Kwaks and CPS3 emulator.

I would rather play Saturn games with an original playstation pad. :)

I don't know why since the playstation pad is, by far, the best pad for console.

The Playstation pad was by far the best for 3D games like Soul Calibur and Metal Gear Solid. However the D-Pad was not responsive enough for 2D fighting games like Street Fighter Alpha and Marvel Super Heroes. Believe me I have both consoles. The 2D games are on the Saturn and the 3D ones are on the Playstation.

As fun as it probably will be to create levels for Sonic, I don't think I want to pay $5 a month to help Sega develop their game.
The Saturn controller is tempting though.

Nothing wrong with playing other Saturn games with a PS controller just that as a Saturn user it would be extrememly wierd for me. Wouldn't feel right.
Do you not like 2D fighting games? Because if you have a Saturn and dont have some you are missing some of the highlights of the platform. All the ramcart games for example that were far superior to the PS versions. Take Marvel Super Heroes Vs Street Fighter. The Saturn version was almost arcade perfect thanks to the 4MB ramcart. The PS version however did not allow you to tag characters and was missing a bucketload of animation frames.

No I do like those games. But I mainly bought my Saturn to play games such as Dark savior, Mysteria, Shining Force 3 (yeah), Shining the Holy Ark etc... I probably missed a bunch of good fighting games indeed.

Like I said...Meh.

A great way to take advantage of this would be to buy the $15 3-month subscription so you get the controller, then buy Sonic Mega Collection Plus on D2D (It doesn't look like there's any sort of activation, but I could be wrong, so it could possibly be giftable to the people listed as unable to buy). I'd be more interested in staying with Play Sega if they had an option to just flat-out buy access to certain Genesis games, instead of paying a monthly fee to play the ones they have. If they upgraded their service to have every Genesis game ever made, however, I would gladly pay a monthly fee for access.
