(but beware, making GAs is highly addictive) ;)
(hehe, I know, already picked up a second gift code, not yet sure whether I'll use it for trading or another GA when this one ends :-) )
Lolz, with zero RTS experience I have, that makes three of us! ;-) Good to know you both still like TA though in that case!
Hi Nikk, added you to the draw. :-)
I just started playing BG 1 so it'll be a while before I get round to part 2, but good to know there are good things to expect there!

Not in, as I happen to know that a family member is getting me the dnd bundle for Christmas.
My recommendation is the same as the poster above me's: BG2. I'd suggest getting and playing BG1 first though. BG2 contains almost everything you could want from an RPG: interesting NPCs and party members with strong characters and who will actually engage in conversation, challenging and tactical battles, the possibility to act as good or evil - or something in between - as you see fit, numerous classes and other options for character creation (and mostly useful and worth considering), hundreds of side quests across the two games, and all run using (at the time) the most complex and most playtested fantasy ruleset, 2e dungeons and dragons. The only downside is that nowadays 2e has fallen out of favour somewhat, with most people preferring the various versions of 3e and 4e, so whether or not you are familiar with dungeons and dragons I'd recommend reading through a summary of those parts of the ruleset you need to know to understand the information the game is giving you. This guide is quite thorough, and certainly helped me. The BG forum is also one of the most active on GOG, so if you have any questions you can generally get answers there.
BG1 is good to play first, mainly because you can then take the same character through into BG2 and play it all as one long game, but partly because you'll be slightly disappointed in BG1 if you play in the other order. BG2 improves on nearly every aspect of BG1 (the primary exception being the ability to wander round and explore at random, which is significantly reduced in BG2), so BG1 would feel like a bit of a downgrade.

I'm in.
I'm such a GOG noob myself so my recommendations are quite common ones, and they are Fallout 1+2 and Baldur's gate 1+2.
BG2 is probably slightly overhyped compared to 1, they both must be played for the full experience, same goes for Fallout 1 and 2.

My favorite game on GOG is Neverwinter Nights. Sure, the official campaign is average (the second expansion was fantastic, at least), but the community keeps me coming back for more. Between the modules and the persistent worlds, I've been playing the game for nearly ten years.

Evening folks,
I would like to change my mind, and not be in. I had to grab the RPG deal when it came back up for the Solstice deal ( couple of other things too ;).
Good luck to everyone else, and thanks again for the opportunity Corwin.
