Ric1987: The only pinball game I ever really get into was Virtual Pinball for the Sega Genesis. Though I haven't really played a whole lot of them since then either. I've thought of giving the pinball pack on here a shot.
Jimmer1: I can heartily recommend the Pro Pinball series. I especially like Fantastic Journey.
Fantastic Journey is probably my least favorite of the three (well, four, but GOG doesn't have The Web...), but it's still an outstanding game, they all are. I'd highly recommend Big Race USA first and foremost, then consider either Timeshock or Fantastic Journey next.
The Pinball Gold Pack is excellent if you're fine with older DOS games, but don't expect the masterful level of detail that Pro Pinball will most certainly spoil you with! I thought Dream Pinball 3D sucked. Pure Pinball 2 Redux I don't even have.
Hal made some great pinball games for Gameboy, try Revenge of the Gator and Kirby's Pinball Land. Pokemon Pinball is also pretty good, the PC Engine games Alien Crush and Devil's Crush are worth checking out too. I don't even know why Epic Pinball (as well was the rest of the Epic MegaGames catalog) aren't here yet. I've enjoyed many more virtual pinball games, I'm not especially picky about my pinball physics though I appreciate them, but those are the ones a good amount of people could probably agree with.
As much as I'd like to forget it, you probably already have Space Cadet on your computer. Go ahead, check the games folder, it should simply be called "Pinball". I'd recommend closing the start menu at this point, but go ahead and click for free boredom! ;)
