three times? wth Gamebin... what do you do to be in this kind of situation!?
The kid wanted to kill the owner. he attempted a murder. Owner should have every right to respond with equal force and do everything to remove the threat.

Does he live in Detroit?
Without going into every detail of my personal life, at one point, I worked at a package store. I had more instances than that one, but I'm not going to print every thing here because its a forum and you are all strangers. :-)
In my case, the guy had already shot and put other people he robbed in critical condition. After the fact, I found this out through the police. I got lucky.

Soeverein: Criminals deserve to die. No matter in what way.

Wow, that's the stupidest thing I've read all week. Piracy is a crime, you know. I wonder how many people here on the GOG boards you think deserve to die?

You know, you probably offended a lot of people here who aren't even pirates.

Or how many people who would be executed for illegal parking (no more parking tickets, BITCH!), general petty crimes and other various insignificant things. Heck, there probably wouldn't be enough people left to run a modern society eventually, since most manage to warrant something that requires punishment, intentionally or otherwise.

Explain, please. Are you sure you understood what I said?

No, not really.
The true qualities that make a politician include being strongly opposed to something you know nothing about.

Zeewolf, your argument sir, is what's referred to as a 'Strawman argument'. It's also idiotic.
Have you ever been robbed or held up at gunpoint?
In fact, I'm wondering how many people arguing that it was murder or excessive force have actually been robbed or held up at gunpoint. I'm wondering how many have had friends or loved ones killed or threatened by some useless waste of humanity who just decided that today is the day he's going to ruin some random stranger's day.

It is not. I responded to the broad and incredibly stupid claim that criminals deserve to die. I pointed out that piracy is a crime. The reason I did that, was to point out how useless it is to make broad statements like that. And, of course, that it is a completely moronic opinion to have.

I have been a victim of a violent home invasion situation, that I do not wish to discuss further here. But that is not relevant to this discussion. The idea that one needs personal experiences with something in order to be able to have valid viewpoints on it is completely ridiculous and a classic suppression technique used in discussions.

True but those viewpoints are not as valid as viewpoints of people who experienced a life-threating situation since those people have more knowledge on the situation (for example argument that 45 seconds is reasonable time for a guy to calm down and think more clearly)
Furthermore: Soeverein statement was ridiculous, empty one and zeewolf just pointed it out.
what's wrong with that? how does it offend anyone Michaelleung?
Things are pretty much always more complicated than they appear. Let's put it this way.
Pharmasist gets charged with murder for shooting robbers.
Pharmasist gets charged with murder for shooting unarmed robber.
Pharmasist gets charged with murder for shooting incapacitated robber.
Pharmasist gets charged with murder for shooting incapacitated robber five more times.
Pharmasist gets charged with murder for shooting incapacitated robber five more times after chasing partner out of store and then returning for a second gun.
And that's not even mentioning the age. You can try to act like you're being 'reasonable' by making all sorts of assumptions about the robber, but they're just that, assumptions. And rather than being reasonable you're just looking at it from a right wing perspective. Passing judgment on anyone who crosses a certain line because there's "never" any reason to cross that line... But of course you know that your badass survivalist instinct makes that view inherently hypocritical... Everyone draws their own line on where to stop thinking and start raging it seems.

Piracy as in Somalian pirates? Yeah sure. Snipe all of the bastards.
Piracy as in software piracy? A colloquialism for copyrights infringement. Which is a civil matter and not a criminal one. No matter what some people might like you to believe. (Though it's still morally wrong.)

Haven't spent enough time in Planescape to reply in Cant. But LOL.
Good to be equalled to the Sodkillers. Always loved playing that faction.
If only I lived in Brazil. I'd love to join BOPE, the real world Red Death. :p
