Adzeth: So I was thinking, why don't they make a car that takes energy from the spinning of the tires? Then we'd only need gas for getting the car moving. Seriously, don't those engineer types have any common sense..

QC: Listen, we've had some annoyances among the thread, and it's all over one person. Okay, he's an idiot, a dumb shit, a scoundrel, he shouldn't be trusted, but the only progress I'm seeing from any of it out of any of these threads is people turning on each other, and not even against the alternate usernames of the same dickish person. So please, an ultimatum for you all.

Everyone, concerned about a fair rep that lets most people access to a giveaway: Well, why are you worrying about the reputation system anyway? The chances are very minor that a dishonest person in the first place would win. And there's enough of us self policing each other that one person gets known by most of the community pretty quickly. If you honest to god need a number though, okay. Scale it then, if a game is $2 right now then say 20 rep, 60 for $6, 100 for $10 or higher, then at the very least a scammer has to put in some actual honest effort and the chances are abysmal that they get the prize anyway.

Ninja Giveaway, start doing PM's or contest codes, something that your average scammer doesn't have the time attention or knowledge to do. Worried about PM's? Background check or ask in the forum, there's no law saying you have to surrender a code instantly.

What about if you just like to drop codes and run? Split the code up then, set it up and out piece by piece.

The Classifieds, it's always been run on the honor system. Well, keep doing that then. Only openly trade with someone who you know. Ask a third party to verify the codes before trading. Hell, I helped someone in the classifieds on open trust, had no reason to doubt them and they held up their end even though my own half of the trade wasn't completed for a few weeks. Need a name for a third party? Wpegg, Ne-Zavarj, Ian, Xyem, OrcishGamer, hell if you trust me enough you could ask me to do it, I'm not as prolific as some people on this forum but I'm around enough that I'm at least remembered by a few.

None of that up there help? Then I'm sorry, I tried. But we aren't helping things by turning on each other every couple of minutes. Let's just all agree to something, remake the threads with some official rules, keep a careful eye out and move on, please.
GENIUS IDEA. If you want to trade with someone, send your code to someone reputable, have the other guy send his code to the reputable person. The reputable person checks out both codes and if everything is okay, the reputable person gives both people their new game. Man, you are a genius.

I think I spotted someone else state it before so it's not actually my idea, but I figure it's more likely to get seen here like this than hidden in another thread talking about the same thing.
Hello everyone. My name is Huijari Puijari and I come from Velmula of Finland. In fact, I am the prince of the region. I am writing to you to discuss the aching in my heart. I am soon turning 18 and should become the king, but there is a problem. The local custom dictates the prince must be loved by mustached men and women from various regions of the world before he can truly become a ruler and have access to the great love sensation vault. That is where you come in. If you could deposit love letters into my love account ♥♥♥♥-♥♥♥♥, I promise to send you back my everlasting love and a turnip after I become the king.

Sent you a PM with my love letter.
Even with the reputable individual checking the code, there still isn't a way to make sure the code is valid unless the code is entered in first. At most all the individual can do without entering it in is to make sure it isn't an obvious fraud, unless a screenshot is taken of the gift code or something like that.

Doesnt the redeem gift system check it and tell you if it is valid without you redeeming it?
